Just when I thought all hope for finding decent Pad Thai in Madrid was lost, Siam stepped in to…read morerestore my faith. The restaurant is cozy and atmosphere better than what you find at stuffy Chinese restaurants around the area. With a quick glance at the menu, we realized the set menu for the night would be the way to go. For only a few Euro more than a normal main course, you get a first plate, dessert and drink. Was I overly full afterwards? Surely. But was it worth it? Definitely. Not only was the Pad Thai plentiful, it was spicy (upon request), which is always a plus in my book. While I was full after this first plate, next came the Vegetarian Curry which was also delicious. Service was nice and it wasn't too expensive at all. I'm glad they deliver so close to my home because my search for acceptable Thai food ends here!

They check up on you but are not overbearing. Really sweet and kind waitress named Yani. The food: order the menu de dia for 11.60€. I got a chicken with peanut sauce as my first plate, a cilantro and chili chicken with rice for my second plate, beer to drink. The food had a lot of flavor which was a nice switch from typical bland Spanish food. Comment- I do think it's just a little pricy for the quantity you get. If it was 10€ I would be here more often. But overall good place.

An affordable Michelin-starred restaurant in Madrid!…read more Bacira, like many Spanish restaurants, has a menú del día for weekday lunches, and this one is easily one of my favorite dining experiences. Any menu would usually offer 2-4 options each of beverage (wine), starter, main meal, and dessert. Everything was meticulously presented from start to finish. The homemade ceviche was tart yet subtly sweet. The starter was the only mild disappointment since it was only a crab-and-avocado sushi. My main dish of salmon with pureed potatoes was delightful. The salmon was cooked grilled to medium rare, extremely tender with every bite. I cleaned the plate clean with my bread to soak up every bit of the pureed potato sauce. The dessert was a lemon tart uniquely made with meringue shards on top and dusted with powdered sugar. The restaurant itself is Spanish-Asian fusion with rustic wooden chairs and industrial lighting (see photos). Service was friendly and efficient, and my waitress was patient with me as I placed my order in middle school-level Spanish. I would absolutely return here the next time I'm in Madrid to catch another meal!

MUST HAVE THE FRESH TUNA AND ALSO THE RISOTTO!!!…read more Everything we ate here was top notch. The flavors were all unlike anything I've ever ate. The atmosphere was upscale and modern. The waiters were very accommodating. One of the best meals I've had in Madrid.
