(1st class is actually slotted below the most premium "Business class" which features a private cubicle) There are also options for a quiet car. As I travelled during the winter, there were plenty of seats and the staff checked tickets as soon as we left Budapest. Wifi worked and I was able to order lunch directly to my seat. Pricing was decent and the food looked good although the food was quite mediocre. The food was hot and crispy though. I do love that they brought food directly to my seat! Train left on time and also arrived on time. The loo was clean and stocked with soap, hand sanitizer, along with toilet paper.

We reached out to the customer service as soon as we saw this on the email following purchase, and we were told request a refund on the Austrian webpage, submitted a form on this webpage and we were denied the refund, as somewhere, in fine footnotes, they apparently mentioned that pick up for tickets is only in Vienna (clearly not visible enough to avoid customer being mislead into purchasing tickets they cannot retrieve). Very unpleasant customer service experience as well. Total scam, beware and avoid!
