In all my life I never had a dentist that I looked forward to the visit. That all changed when Dr. V took over the office. I have had three crowns replaced and they are still going strong and fit perfectly. He uses the strongest materials and does not use metal. He is very attentive to your needs and always makes sure you are completely numb in the area he works on. He checks constantly on your comfort level. I can tell when he is working on my teeth that he is a perfectionist, checking and double checking everything. I have had zero pain when he works on my teeth and that is the comfort we should all expect. His staff is exceptional, attentive, and the best all around. They even worked with my insurance to remove extra charges that should have been covered. Really surprised at the 1 star comments, but I am sure that is his competitors using bots to downrate him. I say this because every time I am there, the parking lot is full, unlike the previous dentist. When I moved to Albany, NY the last great thing I expected was having the best dentist ever. I had one appointment that never made it into their system. I have had botched work due to Dr. Swalsky's haste twice that caused unnecessary pain, time and expense. I changed dentists after a long time and am happier now, even with the time they devote to the patient. I guess I had forgotten what it's supposed to be like. But the crown popped off, it was more than 5 years old since the original implant. The original crown was with another practitioner, but Dr K was able to clean and prepare the crown for reimplantation. Less than two day wait to be seen, less than 5 minute wait for the actual appointment in office. After approximately 10 minutes, my problem was solved-- the crown was re-cemented in place. I threw out the gummies. I use GEHA high option for insurance, and have never been disappointed with my share of the cost for services. GEHA allows three cleanings per year, and I have zero co-pay. No fees for parking on New Scotland Ave is another added attraction. I have never had a bad transaction with Dr Kanakasabapathi or her polite staff. I began with her office prior to the Covid epidemic.

Tia left. The practice began to feel like a factory. Yes, Dr. Mandava is very nice, but at a minimum I would expect him to read my records before asking me why I came in. I had X-rays taken by a cheerful young woman who told me her only academic qualifications were a high school diploma. I was also seen by a young man who told me he was a licensed dentist from a Caribbean country but had no US credentials. I love young people. I adore immigrants. However, I hate "chain practices" and was reluctant to continue entrusting my choppers to this practice. I have sought dental care elsewhere.
