OK, this is my first time in Tulum so I don't really know what's on or off the beaten path, but this place feels slightly off the beaten path. They serve food in addition to cocktails, but I didn't order any food this visit.
My friend's sister who lives in Tulum recommended this place for cocktails since I already had dinner plans, but was looking for a spot to grab a few drinks beforehand. The place isn't large, but the interior looks very cool. The entire place is pretty vibe-y. The decor to the music it totally is a vibe lol. Honestly, this place feels like one of those places that would do really really well in southern California.
Again, I can't speak for the food, but the cocktails were done really well. I thought I was gonna like the coconut one more since I'm a big fan of coconut in general. I loved them both, but of the two I ordered, I really liked the El Catrin - which has more of a flavor profile dominant with the passion fruit. It wasn't too sweet. Which it is most of the time when I drink fruit forward cocktails. There's a little bit of sour and a little bit of earthiness. I think they put in a coffee bean which affected the taste and when they torched the rosemary before serving, it gave it a little bit of herb-yness.
It's a really cool spot to grab a drink and from the looks of it, bites. read more
