Back to sports! Since the German cuisine is leaving such a little margin for my healthy eating…read morehabits, I figured out quickly ever since I moved in Frankfurt that I have to compensate in some way :P
Crossfit was the kind of sport that back in Milan allowed me to do so: it is tough, it is collective and requires me to do it regularly in order not to feel a pussy during a workout :D
My first experience at Crossfit am Main was disastrous, and you will eventually read about in one of my next reviews. Here, I could find a whole different world. Everything is super clean, functional, and easy to access :) Not only it is easily reachable with the public transport (ubahn stop right in front of the place) but also has a nice private parking for car owners
Hangers for coats at the entrance, coffee machine and water dispenser: finally some comfort after the tough work! Dressing rooms are plain but nice, and you can set your bag in the Ikea blocks for them to wait after you when you are done.
People are very nice, all the trainers speak a perfect English and are very kind in telling you things twice, the first time in German (when you feel bold and pretend to be able to understand it) and then in English for you to understand how to distress your body properly :P
The software that is used to manage the reservations and workouts is very nice (wodify) and also allows you to see who's going to attend your class, so you can try to go with the same people. It also allows you to register your timings and exercises so you can see the small progression you make with your body.
Prices are totally in line with the standard of Crossfit (which is not very cheap but totally worth it), say 100€ per month
Totally recommended for those who would like to do Crossfit in Frankfurt :) whenever you do, you will find me there, collapsed on the floor!
