I had not been here since the restaurant came under new ownership, but it was still a very nice experience. I had the tasting menu of the day, and while my poor memory doesn't allow me to recount every detail, two of the highlights were the first course, which was Carne Cruda, and the next course that was a kind of tiny vegetable pie with mint. While the Tajarin pasta with ragu and the beef with potatoes were both nice, they didn't stand out as much. However, the dessert, home grown peach with ice cream and a chocolate leaf, was nothing short of fantastic. The wine list consisted mostly of very local wines, and the 2015 "Karmico" Barbaresco from Mustela on the other side of the hill was very nice at an affordable price. Coffee is never bad around here but theirs was better than most, and the grappa was top notch. Overall a very nice experience at an affordable price, along with a nice chat with the likeable and English-speaking owner (whose wife did the stellar kitchen work). read more
