The work the team did was beautiful and a great value for the price. We went a little over 10% over budget, which is just about what I expected for a project like this, and I was pleasantly surprised that we actually finished a few days early. The work comes with a 3-year warranty too (which we needed in the past and have had no trouble using), which gives extra peace of mind. Each person on the project - Elena the project manager, Juan the site supervisor, Alexa the designer, John the estimator, and especially the lead technician Cornelio was a pleasure to work with. As with any renovation, there are always surprises and hiccups along the way, but the team handled everything professionally, even when I was stressed and occasionally cranky. One thing of particular note was how much the team was willing to work with me when the inevitable surprises came up. There are things that nobody can foresee, which usually results in a change order and extra cost, but then there are those little things where everyone leaves a conversation with a different impression. In those latter instances, I always really appreciated how willing everyone was to meet me halfway and to make sure I felt good about how things were going and confident that we were doing right by each other. In my bedroom, they painted, added new baseboards, installed recessed lights, & replaced my old ceiling fan with a fandelier. In my bathroom, it was a complete renovation; all I kept was the toilet so everything else was new. The guys installed a new floor, vanity, lights, shower, shelves, mirror, medicine cabinet, and curtain. The entire project took two weeks. Kras Development is my new favorite contractor & I know from experience that a great contractor is hard to find. I'm not sure if they know it but they're stuck with me now & I'll be calling them for all my future projects. You can tell they love what they do. Gardener's is our Condo contractor and did work after a sprinkler leak over the Christmas freeze…read more They completed the work, but didn't do anything more than needed. The work seems to be fine, but there were a few finishing items that were not done. Communication was rather horrible, it took quite a time for some things to get done as they were waiting on things; but never reached out to give me updates despite parts of my house and floor being torn apart. Finishing work: Water had started peeling the drywall tape on various creases that should have been fixed with the initial repair, and was brought up but never done. Garage door no longer worked after leak, but was not fixed. Several sections of ceiling should have been torn down and included, but since a different company did the water damage removal Gardener's never saw the extent of the initial damage. It seems as though they do a lot of Condo/HOA work. This means that they always have work and don't need to be perfectionists for a contract. I would find someone else to do work in the future, but hopefully this is it for a while.
