Terrible experience on so many levels. Paid up front for yearly contract. Yard looks horrendous. They missed multiple areas like the grass between sidewalk and street. It looks like an abandoned lot. Backyard has soooo..many weeds. I could start a dispensary.lol. They do everything to keep you from cancelling service. Can't cancel online. Shrub treatment did nothing. I've used Scott's fertilizer myself for years but had shoulder surgery and couldn't do yard work. Thank goodness I have a good doctor and I've recovered. Worst company. Never showed up for service in July or August, yard full of weeds. When i called to cancel my service I received 5 phone calls from 5 different people asking why I want to cancel. Apparently they have no way to document their system when they call someone so had to explain 5 times my reason for cancelling. On the 5th time they asked if I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I have watched the technician treat my yard and he always skips a 1/3 of my yard, when I confronted him he denied it. I have had them come back out 2 times to retreat and they still don't do the whole yard. This morning i videoed him and was going to confront him but I thought why should I get in an argument with this lazy person that doesn't want to do the job right so I just called and canceled my service. read more

Trugreen goes out of their way to make it difficult to engage with their support and actually resolve problems. Zero quality assurance of services delivered, new technician every time, technicians who show up and do not actually treat property and then you get an invoice. I've struggled with Trugreen for the past year or two and I can't think of a worse experience I have had with any service company. Avoid at all costs and switch to Weedman!! read more

I had a problem with the way my yard has started to look after I had service I called to report it. Ryan from Tru Green came out today and was so negative and rude. Told me that we need to water our grass every day. I tried to show him from our video doorbell camera that our grass is watered every day at the same time, he was so nasty and mean and didn't want to hear anything else I had to say so I canceled my service. if our grass is going to look worse than the neighbors. who never gets their lawn serviced and I get my yard service by Tru Green all the time and they don't see the problem. tru Green is a rip off. Tru Green couldn't grow grass even if they hired Snoop Dogg. You never stick to your appointment times and for some reason your employees are confused by a gate latch. So basically I paid for overpriced weed control. Put more money into your product instead of your advertisements. read more

I am very disappointed in the service from Trugreen. I paid for one year of service where I was supposed to receive eight visits. The first visit came on time as scheduled. The second visit was not for nearly 9 weeks. When I called to ask about the frequency I was told I was somehow not placed on the schedule, and to compensate I would be given a free service. One week later my free service arrived but when I checked my app on my phone the free service plus one regular service was used. When I called to inquire what happened I was told that I was actually given two treatments in one visit therefore I did receive a free visit. Sounds like a scam to me. My wife and I both work a lot so I figured the convenience of having a professional company come out and apply the proper lawn treatment on a monthly basis was worth it. I have had better results when I get a bag of weed and feed, and a heavy dose of 12-12-12 three times per year. Generally my lawn is one of the best looking on the block, this year mine is one of the worst and the only one that is being "professionally" treated. Each time I ask about the lack of results I am told it will take time, you need to sharpen your lawn mower blades, you need to water your grass, and several other excuses that I never had to face last year. I will not be using this service in the future. It was the biggest waste of $328.83 I have ever spent. Update.. it is now just under 4 months since my first complaint, my lawn still looks terrible, and I have called the 1800 number numerous times and they tell me "I tried to call the branch in your service area with no answer, but they will call you back soon". Used them at my old place in about 2014. When they aerated we noticed they only did the front yard. And came to find out they only treated the front yard all year. Needless to say, we fired this company and have recommended all the neighbors in our new neighborhood not to use them, esp after they did the same thing to one of the neighbors. This is a horrible company, no one should use them. I recommend using Turf Pro Plus. They are cheap and do a much better and more professional job. read more

After using them for six months my lawn looks worse now than ever. They came out a month ago to fertilize my lawn and two days later it was more brown than green. It is still brown. A rep came out and looked at the yard, and blamed it in the weather. My yard has never been this brown. Also the mosquito control program is ineffective, had them come and reapply three times. I would not recommend Trugreen to anyone. They bought out Unique Lawn Care last year and I've had nothing but problems with them ever since. Last year they didn't perform aeration until I could them 3 times and I specifically mentioned I wanted shade seed put down. Never did they mention seed wasn't part of my contract. This year they claimed they treated my yard, but my ring camera never showed they were even here. Also, no flag. This year they come to perform aeration with no seed and they didn't perform the service until November. Late in the year to get grass to grow before winter. Then they call me to put seed down mid-November which they haven't done. They have delayed the service 3 times in a row. They will not get anymore of my money. read more

Absolutely terrible. DO NOT USE. They pay no attention to how the lawn looks. Don't analyze (correctly) what it needs. My lawn looks the exact same as it did prior to treatment. An associate came out to assess my lawn (I wasn't home) and see how it was doing - it clearly still looked terrible. He left me a voicemail to let me know he stopped by and said the lawn looks great (anyone in their right mind wouldnt have come to that conclusion!). That was the only mention of my lawn on the voicemail. The rest of it was a sales pitch about treatment they have available for my landscaping bushes. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone needing to improve their lawn. read more

Trugreen Lawn Care is horrible. My family has been customers for 17 years and we have never experienced such horrible service. Literally, half of our backyard consists of nutsedge and crabgrass. We have been getting our yard sprayed frequently for 17 years. The person initially sent out to spray the yard was sent with not enough spray. We were told that someone would come finish spraying in 8-10 days. Two weeks have passed. We have emailed Trugreen twice and have made 3 separate calls. We have not received any response. read more

Worst year yet. I have been with TruGreen for years and almost left two years ago. Wish I had. This year even with all the watering and care I had a burnt out lawn. Waking up at 5 to water before I go to the gym and my expected hefty water bills and they still mess up my lawn. I can even take that as everyone makes mistakes, but calling and getting no calls back for a month and only because I lose my patience and say I am not getting off the phone until someone in a supervisory capacity talks to me. Then I am told everything will be fixed. Someone will be at my house on Monday to aerate and seed. It's Monday at 4pm and no one. I call and they tell me in a going through the motions kind of way sorry but someone will be there by the tenth. I'm done. Worst customer service ever. read more

I'm done with Trugreen. I wish I could post a photo of our lawn. It looks like a Picasso painting with streaks all through the yard. I've never been able to get an owner to my house as we've never been totally satisfied for the amount of money we've paid. Oh, and when you call the "Fairfield" office a person in New Hampshire will answer your call. She said someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours. And please quit calling me every two weeks to tell me about the mosquito control you offer. Use an independent dealer. That's what I'm going to do. read more

On April 1, 2018, I signed-up for a $500 (approx.) lawn package for my small backyard since I was very busy at my job and wanted my lawn fixed. I said to the rep. that the lawn needed to be aerated and bare spots seeded especially since I have two dogs that get muddy after a rain. I said that I would use the results of the program to possibly add the front lawn next year and to share with my neighbors and friends. I expected the aerating and seeding to occur in April. Well after waiting and complaining, we were told that aeration and seeding occurs in late fall. I felt like it was a bait and switch. The appearance of my lawn has not changed. There is a reduction in broad leafs, but no change in bare spots or otherwise that I can tell. I feel that I could have done a better job by myself using Scott lawn products and paying a landscaper to aerate. Needless to say, I will not renew. (Pics were taken on 7/28/18.) read more

I have used TruGreen for two properties for two years. The lawn care service has been decent but the tree and shrub service has been absolutely terrible! I have tried to escalate major issues multiple times with no resolution. I have asked my accounts to be suspended and instead of getting a call from management with resolution I keep getting calls for new services! The customer tracking and customer satisfaction and problem resolution process is the worse I have ever seen! read more
