We paid for the full service, weed, seed, fertilize, aeration and pre-emergent for the whole summer. They were supposed to do front yard, sides and back, they only aerated the back yard. We called them and they assured us they would be out to get the front yard and sides; I received a text the tech was there to perform the tasks, EXACTLY 1 minute later I received a text he was done! He had ran the aerator around the tree where there was no grass so it would appear to have been done!!!! No other area was aerated!!! You do NOT want to use True Green for your lawn service!!!! We requested a TOTAL refund, hopefully they will actually get that done!! read more

They came to our house when we werent there, seemed to think my mother owned the home. They told her the grass was yellow and trees were dead (neither is true even in the slightest) and claimed we needed their services to save our lawn? really? my mother has been on this earth for a while. She told us about it and all the crazy things about iron deficiency that this person was trying to sell her on expensive services. Seemed so blatantly predatory. Pics added to show our lawn and trees. The trees were planted a year ago. Theyre not dead at all by a long shot. The lawn is green as green can get. Its just wrong to go door to door and target older people with this stuff. Edit: Several of my neighbors are reporting multiple unsolicited door to door visits being pursued for expensive services telling us that even though our neighborhood is about 1 year old at most, that the fresh sod and trees are basically all dying or dead. If I could leave a lower rating, I would. We canceled our service a month ago. Reasons were shoddy work, and repeatedly damaging our sprinkler system. On Tuesday, we received an automated message for service on Wednesday. On Tuesday we called and again told them to cancel our service. On Wednesday, they STILL did the service, damaged 2 sprinkler heads and left a bill. On Thursday we attempted to contact the local office to discuss, but were unable to speak to anyone local. Management is unresponsive, the work done is poor. Highly recommend choosing a different service. read more

The most unethical business and worst service I have ever encountered in my life. They will pick and choose what services they provide and charge you for the higher without your knowledge. After I caught them I canceled my services, after a few months went by a salesman reached out to me and said it would NEVER happen again, and that was NOT how TruGreen operated. Two months later they sent the past due amount from the services without my authorization to a collection agency. I ended up paying it to keep it from hurting my credit at that point, and they would never give me the salesman phone number who assured me that this one not happen. When I called their office, they were literally no help at all and you could hear dogs and birds in their office. I've had tree and shrub service for several years and have been especially pleased with TruGreen as a result. Not only did they save my two trees in my front yard (from yellow and dropping leaves to green and healthy), they text me before they come, treat side and back yards without my assistance, then leave with a notice on the door (if I am not home) to let me know they were on the property. The notice has all the data about what was sprayed, how much chemical was used, and the time of day the treatment was performed. I like that. read more

I prepaid a year of weed control, fertization, pre-emergent next spring, mosquito and pest control. And yes I'm embarrassed I spent what I did, and today I cancelled! I have more weeds than I've ever had! The mosquito and other insect control helped some, but my torces took over fine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TRUGREEN. When I called them I only found one number to actually reach the Amarillo office. Ive waited all day for 2 people to personally come and see my weeds so when they didn't come I called the local number and found that they didn`t show any appointment. Their GM wasn't in. I called a number I knew wasn`t Amarillo and cancelled my contract. The number for billing is actually in Austin. I should have my refund within 3-5 billing days. read more

Don't waste your money! They never come out when they are scheduled and they have the worst call service! My yard has gone from pretty to growing weeds everywhere. I have been trying to get them to come out for the last week and half to spray the yard and nothing! They will call an area manager??? So they say and never respond to your call.
