My experience with the Game Box wasn't that great. I was in two minds about getting the Game Box or…read moregetting the Game Truck which is more popular and has reviews, compared to the Game Box which I had heard nothing about prior to hiring them for a birthday party. In retrospect, I would recommend spending the extra $100 and going through Game Truck versus Game Box, especially after this experience I had with them. The idea of video games on a truck for a young boy's birthday party is Heaven. I was pretty excited about it too, since I was a gamer when I was younger also. I didn't appreciate some of the sly remarks from the "coach" or the way he treated the children which is the main reason why I would probably never go through Game Box again. I had a great time hiring the truck, no hassles whatsoever. The day of the party, I reached out to the Game Box to confirm since I hadn't received any correspondence about the party since the day I originally booked. Thankfully, the owner of the Game Box called me back to confirm. She let me know that I would receive a phone call from the Coach an hour before the party. The party started at 6PM, so I obsessively carried my phone around with me so that I wouldn't miss the phone call from the coach. 5PM came and went, never received a call so I assumed the Coach would just show up to the party. Around 5:40PM while I was greeting guests, I had missed the Coach's phone call but had called him back around 5 minutes afterwards. By the sounds of his voice, he was pretty annoyed I missed his phone call. Then he arrived to the party and things seemed to only get worse. He opened the game truck for the kids at 6:05PM and all the kids got comfy on the seats. He went over 3 rules (1. no food and drinks, 2. no touching game consoles, and 3. don't put your feet on the seats because the seats fall forward). I asked him if the seats really fall forward and he said yes, that there is nothing he can do about the seats falling forward.... Interesting. It made me pretty nervous, however, the kids didn't do much moving around, so didn't experience the seats falling forward... thankfully. After explaining the rules, he went through each game console to make sure the games were set up. I was on the truck with 2 other mom friends of mine who were watching the kids to make sure they weren't doing anything wrong. I then overheard the coach slyly talking to one of my guests (7 yr old) and telling him off for deleting game content on one of the game consoles, even though I was there with him the whole time and he didn't do anything to the consoles. He pulled the controller out of his hands and started telling him off for deleting games. I assumed he didn't know I was listening so immediately jumped in to ask if there was a problem and then his demeanor changed. I was pretty annoyed that the party should've started at 6PM and there we were 20 minutes into the party with these kids who were anxiously awaiting playing the video games. Lastly, the coach was complaining to one of my friends on the truck that we don't realize how hard it is to change out the games and it's extremely time consuming for him to do that when a child asked for their game to be changed. This threw me over the edge and I immediately became frustrated and annoyed with the Game Box. I asked him if there was a library or board of options for games for the kids and he said "Just tell me and I'll change them out". He didn't even have options for the kids to choose and just put on a few games he thought they would like. I was hesitant to allow them to ask to change their games because the coach seemed so frustrated doing it. Overall, I would not recommend Game Box. I was really looking forward to using them at our Birthday party, but was heavily disappointed. And even more disappointed that I reached out to management prior to writing this review with no response. Spend a little extra money and go with the Game Truck. I don't have my own review for them yet, however, in the future would definitely use them over the Game Box and they have great reviews also!

As a couple who deeply cherishes music we could not have been more disappointed in the services we…read morereceived from DJ Music Entertainment. Prior to our event that occurred on 9/6/26 we had great communication with Edvin, the owner. On our wedding day Edvin did not attend our event; another DJ was sent in his place. I was not notified of this change and was unable to speak to the DJ about our expectations prior to our event beginning. As cocktail hour began there was supposed to be a speaker placed outside included in our package, this did not occur and we had no music in the cocktail hour space and people outside were not able to hear any announcements from what was occurring inside the venue. I, the bride, asked her where the speaker was outside and she informed me she did not have a speaker outside. As dinner service began we informed her she could start calling tables. After calling a few tables she began playing on her phone to where no guests were being called for dinner, or in line, and my husband had to notify her to continue calling more tables. While eating dinner break up ballads were being played, "such as dancing on my own". My coordinator informed her that we did not want to listen to sad breakup songs and her response was "that was dinner music". As the reception began the first few songs were not our expected vibe at all. After a couple of 70's cheesy pop wedding songs we went over to her and asked if she had our information about playlists and the vibe we were going for. She stated that she did. Afterwards a few songs were played of our vibe. We had previously sent a 20 song playlist to Edvin for our event, and he requested to know what style we would like. There were probably only 5 songs played from this list. Throughout the night I had to request songs, inform her to skip songs that she had already played multiple times like "Get Low" and other songs of that genre. They did not play the vast majority of country songs we requested and only played neon moon which we did not even request or want played. We also purchased the platinum package from edvin which included two enhancements. The two that we decided on were an extra speaker and a bubble machine for our exit. We received neither of these enhancements and were not offered any other items to replace the enhancement. After our event I reached out to Edvin to hope he was doing okay as he did not attend our event and inform him of the issues that we had. Edvin basically stated sorry but there was not really anything he could do and offered us $50 after I informed him I expected a refund for the enhancements we did not receive. I am concerned that moving forward Edvin will not address these issues for couples and they will have the exact experience we had. My husband and I spent the entire night micromanaging the DJ because she was not properly informed of the expectations of our event that we did not even dance with each other other than our first dance and the very last song. Our guests enjoyed themselves because we have extraordinary friends who celebrate all of life's moments with us even when they do not meet expectations. We are extremely grateful that the rest of our vendors and day was absolutely extraordinary but DJ Edvin's services left a bad stain of a lackluster experience that could have easily been avoided and alleviated had more communication occurred. I would honestly provide even more detail of this incident if I had the space to.
