I have always been welcomed in by someone as soon as I walked into the door. I've been here on numerous occasions and never once have I felt ignored like the previous review. Maybe that review was a personal attack? Just seems very strange to have the exact opposite response. I came back recently and asked about a jacket I wanted to buy. The owner (in which I didn't know he was the owner) stated he would be happy to assist me. He took the time to go to the back and see if there was a jacket I could try on for comparison. After trying it on, I requested him to order a smaller size. He stated he would do that asap and would let me know when it arrived or he would be willing to bring it to Thomasville. Hello, that's top notch customer service because I don't go to Moultrie often. Anyways, I called a few days ago and it was in fact in transit to the store! Steve (the owner) ordered tuxes for my husband and his groomsmen for our wedding day. When my husband's jacket didn't fit quite right, Steve went home, grabbed his own PERSONAL tux jacket, and brought it back to where we were having the ceremony. It fit like a glove and was a crisis averted! You just can't really top that kind of service!

But what I truly love about Turner's is that it is what I think of when I think about a true small town boutique. The woman that owns it, Mrs. Ann, is amazing, so sweet, loves to come down from her office in the upstairs of the building and visit with her customers. Her dog running around the store. And the smell. I have a vivid memory of receiving a huge package on my 16th birthday. Beginning to open this box nearly the size of our dining room table, I knew exactly what it was before pushing aside the tissue paper. The prom dress I had been eyeing in the window of Turner's for months. I knew immediately because of the smell as I opened the box. The smell of Turners is strong, perfume, sweet, and at the same time so comforting. The whole store and everything in the store has this smell because Mrs. Ann smokes and then uses strong perfumes to cover the smell. But it is a wonderful smell of which one whiff can bring me back to shopping with my mom for homecoming dresses, trying on prom dresses with friends, and other fond memories. Definitely worth a stop in if you ever find yourself meandering around downtown Moultrie. Say hello to Mrs. Ann for me!

The restaurant has a few tables and a bar. There is a cafeteria style setup with hot food. I don't know how the table service works, but to go, we just said we had a to go order. There is a choice of foods and sandwiches. There is a big board with a menu, but other patrons said to go by what is actually on the food bar. Someone there waiting on their food recommend the oxtail, cabbage, and cuban rice, so that's what I ordered. Oxtail - this is one of the best things I've ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly (I assume, I have never had it before). Super tender and the fat just melts. It's over a bed of rice, which soaks up the juice. There is not a ton of meat, but it is 100% worth it. . Cabbage - I have had cabbage plenty of times, but this may have cumin, but not sure. It was also very good. If you like cabbage, you will probably like this. There were a lot of other foods to choose from, so lots of options if oxtail and cabbage are not for you. Unless we find something better, this is our go-to for Moultrie.
