The location is easy to find and access from the highway and there was plenty of parking once we were on the grounds. Like most fairgrounds we visit to show dogs, the North Iowa Events Center is a non-profit organization with multiple venues and a wide-range of events. Located on the edge of Mason City Iowa it offers some interesting agricultural history and involvement with the local community. Our dogs were scheduled to show early in the morning and we ended up driving down rather than staying in a hotel. When we arrived our show time had been changed to late afternoon and that offered an opportunity to tour the fairgrounds and then head into Mason City to see the Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and the Music Man history too. Mason City has more to offer than you might expect and we were able to wander a little with the dogs too. This fairgrounds is a nice representation of local culture and history.
