I used Ron Yaple at Race Mt as a consultant on a big old maple. I had gotten conflicting opionions…read morefrom two sources previously in the process of getting quotes on dealing with several trees. Ron took a more thorough look at the maple than the others had, one of whom had said it should come down and one of whom thought it would be fine with some wiring and pruning. Ron came down on the side of cutting it down but for a totally different reason than the other guy who was not a certifed arborist and who's reasoning Ron disagreed with. In the end he saw a hard to see flaw in the tree that neither of the others had noticed. In the process of watching Ron's thorough inspection and listening to his anaysis I concluded he had the best judgement about what to do.
