Now, they have made payments due at the beginning of the semester and will kick you out of all classes without you knowing. You are also given a short notice on deadline of payments. I'm not sure in what direction he will go as far as choosing a college, but so far I like it. Although Huntingdon is not an HBCU, I would definitely look into attending this college. We were able to take pictures in the weight room, and me and the boys got a chance to enjoy the beautiful campus they have. It wasn't that far from Birmingham, and the staff really seem to care about their students not "Just" as football players, but as individuals and their success in the classrooms. Overall, this seems to be a really good college, and even though, once again, its not an HBCU, I will fully support this school.

My husband, daughter, and I came to support a family friend at their commencement ceremony, but before we even made it into the building, we saw a man struggling to help a woman in a wheelchair figure out how to access the venue--because the only visible entrance was down a set of stairs. I had come from another direction that didn't require steps, so I offered to walk with them, assuming there had to be a wheelchair-accessible route. With my husband and daughter walking with us, we headed the way I had come from--only to run into a dead-end. We turned around and eventually flagged down someone in commencement robes, hoping they could direct us. He told us to enter another building and take an elevator to reach the lower level. After some confusion and walking around, we finally got her inside. She was grateful, but I was honestly just angry. How, in 2025, is a public campus still this inaccessible to individuals with mobility challenges? This should not happen--not during a celebratory moment like graduation, and not anywhere. Do better, AUM. Accessibility should never be an afterthought.
