Full disclosure: I am married to the owner of Lincoln Acupuncture Project. So yeah, I'm clearly…read morebiased. But I've also been able to receive hundreds of acupuncture treatments from her in our years together, and I can attest to her skill as an acupuncturist and as a healer. She has helped me out of debilitating headaches more times than I care to recall, and with other problems I've had over the years. But I've also been witness to how skilled she is working with patients in the community clinic setting where she worked back in California, and now here in Lincoln, and what an asset community-style acupuncture is to a community. Especially I feel how healing work in a shared space (with other patients) helps break through the sense of isolation a person can so easily feel when they are injured, in pain, or sick or a long time. I love the way the Lincoln Acupuncture Project space turned out and it feels very peaceful being there, getting treatments alongside others.

I went in with pain and got the treatment and suggestions to get back to feeling good. She also…read morehelped my child break the cycle of health issues and get ready for a baseball tournament. It's a relaxing place to go, and I appreciated the description of a "community reservoir of calm." It is awesome to be with other people while taking time for yourself. I appreciate this place for making it simple to access a thousands-of-years-old healing practice that modern science has proven effective for various symptoms. Now that I know this place exists, it's going to be my go-to provider for a lot of those little health concerns that pop up, especially the ones that are probably too vague for a regular MD / drug-based therapy to successfully address. The needles are no big deal. They're extremely thin and not painful or so slight initially that you won't care. You are in charge of your treatment, so you can just try one needle and see what it's like, and you can ask any time to have any or all of them taken out. Also there's no blood, so put your mind at ease about that! Scheduling is ridiculously easy on the website. There's no pressure to come back often. Don't forget cash or check, and you might want earphones to listen to music. Your first treatment might be 20-30 minutes, plus all the time you need to talk through your symptoms. I could have taken notes for the self-massage techniques and vitamins she mentioned, which were also super helpful.

Southwest Chiropractic Big Rip Off and the owner is…read morehorrible. Assemble line chiropractics is what she does. I don't think my appointments with her went over 8 mins even the first visit. She had no X-rays I don't believe she looked at my information she asked a few questions then proceeded to press a spot on my arm and lift it twice each side. Then out the door I went. One appointment after the arm lifts she used an instrument popped it in random spots on my back and I was done. She gets you out the door and ushers in the next person sitting in the chairs outside of the office. If you only want to have the "Softwave" done she will tell you without doing her side (the so called chiropractics)it may not work. This is strange considering I was having "Softwave" done to my knee and she was doing lame arm lifts to my arms. When I requested not to do her side she had me go in her office and she proceeded to aggressively tell me I had to do both sides. She also said I didn't have to pay for her side of it, if I continued with both sides. What and offer! I am sure this offer was don't pay my co-pay but she will charge my insurance. At one of my visits the receptionist was unsure of my co-pay Larson the owner/chiropractor yelled out of her office to the receptionist it was $60. I looked at my insurance card and it said $50. I told the receptionist it was $50. Larson came out of her office, took the $60 cash I had and did not offer me my change. I said are you going to give me my change or are you going to keep it for toward my next visit? She looked offended and said next time and walked off. People are ushered through the two offices like cattle. Not enough time between people to wipe things down. Didn't see any cleaning wipes in her office to wipe anything down. If you want assemble line chiropractics with no choices of how you receive your care this is the place. Now you know pass it around.

Thank you Chuck Cheever for recommending Dr. Larson & Nick to me. Unfortunately, all my 'failed' neck surgery did for me was stop the tingling in my fingers and cost me a lot of money. I have a long way to go with my treatments but I can already tell a difference. I highly recommend Dr. Larson at Southwest Chiropractic if you are experiencing any aches, pains or issues.
