My constructive criticism is that, at least with my barber, some basic finishing steps seemed to be skipped unless I requested them. He used the blade on my mustache and beard without applying shaving gel, which caused some irritation. After he said he was finished, I went to pay but came back and asked him to line up my mustache again because it was noticeably uneven. He fixed it and said it was done, but when I got home, I noticed it was still uneven. It also wasn't until I was about to leave that he asked if I wanted alcohol sprayed on the areas that had been shaved. I'm not a barber, but I feel like things such as using shaving gel, properly checking the lineup, and applying aftershave or alcohol to freshly shaved areas are basic parts of the service and shouldn't have to be specifically requested.

Are you kidding me? A simple we are busy or there is a long wait, its not too bad or any helpful information would be ok but a smart ass rude response when someone is trying to visit your business is just uncalled for. Do you want new business or not? Too bad too, looked like they give great haircuts... if only they could be polite. I got the sense that they don't like tourists but maybe you shouldn't be located in a tourist area if you are going to have such a shitty attitude. Worked out great though as we ended up going to an awesome and friendly competitor Barber close by who cut mine and my two sons hair and everyone loved their fades.

Since the pitbull my wife got me broke down, I decided to check this place out. I dropped by on Wednesday on my way to work to ask a few questions and make an appointment. The person who greeted me was very nice and answered all my questions. Based on what I wanted he gave me a quote. The price included a complementary drink (beer, wine, water, coffee), peppermint essential oil aromatherapy hot towel, and shoulder massage. Cool. I made the appointment with Maria for Friday during my lunch break because they close at 5p and I clock out at 5:30p. They text you reminders which is a nice touch. I showed up at noon for my appointment on Friday. Maria was waiting for me at the chair. I told what I wanted and she did her thing. She was softspoken, nice, and very professional. The hot towel and shoulder massage were soothing. I almost dozed off. After she finished, I paid (and left a tip) and left. The job was well done. I liked it, my wife liked it, and even my parents commended the work. All in all, great job. Great service. I would come back on the future. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because neither before, during, or after was I offered that free beverage. I know it's something small, nothing major, and I debated whether docking a star for that. But if it is one of their selling points (it's even on their website), I think it should've been offered. Again, nothing major. I would really say it's half a star, not a full star. I was still pleased with the service and plan on returning. I would also recommend this place to anybody.
