Got here by accident, was looking for one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in town, but since…read morethey were closed for good, we started looking elsewhere for something around that area, our second recommendation was also closed (ribs place), so after driving for a while, Galpão da Picanha was just around the corner, very inviting huge open windows, kind of redneck décor, and people drinking beer and having a good time, so, why not?
I was not quite intrigued by their menu, filled with picanha cuts served with many kinds of pasteurized cheeses, uh... No thanks. Did ask for a recommendation, server suggested picanha with garlic, when it came out, about 7 half inch thick steaks of picanha, slight garlicky taste, and not too much salt. All steaks were chewy and overly greasy.
Setting is pretty different for an outsider like me, but food was a-ok.
