We traveled to Raleigh with two young kids and Amin's service made it less stressful! If you're traveling to Raleigh and need a ride from the airport, go with Amin. I texted ahead to book a minivan with a car seat for my family of 4. Amin's rates are fair compared to Uber or Lyft- but with Amin, you know exactly where to meet him and what to look for (he texts you a photo of the car and meeting point at arrivals). With Uber you have to worry about getting a car and then figuring out where the hell the driver will pull up. He showed up on time, helped us with the car seat setup and luggage, and also confirmed via text the night before and morning of departure. Booked 2 rides in advance with Trivia Taxi. From our first call to ask for rates to the final dropoff, Amin was so helpful and communicated well with us to make our experience smooth. He was very careful to take down all our details for pickup and dropoff and made sure to confirm the day before each. The trivia was also fun and had a great variety for each ride! I originally chose this service because it sounded whimsical and I enjoy having fun, but the service as a taxi also ended up being stellar. We have been using the Trivia Taxi service for the past year. We really could not expect any better professional service nor a more pleasant individual than Amin. Trivia Taxi is well named as he always has interesting trivia questions to ask you which are fun and creates a nice rapport while traveling together. When I phoned Trivia Taxi, Amin, couldn't have been more friendly on the phone and not more accommodating. He provided photos of his cab, license plate and where at the airport he would pick me up. He tracked my flights arrival from Denver and with in 15 seconds of waiting at RDU he picked me and whisked me to my hotel. The driver picked up our bags from our front porch and on return, carried them to our front porch. This was the worse taxi experience I ever had. If you wish to provide someone you do not know with a sizeable gift....then this is the place for you. I took this taxi LITERALLY 5 miles and the price that registered was over 20$. I did notice that in the beginning we started at 2.95 which was fair but then, I suppose Muhammed didn't know that I noticed that the price suddenly jumped to 9.00. This was about 1 mile into the trip. Muhammed became quite frazzled when I began taking down the complaint telephone number displayed on the license on the dashboard. Then he started becoming frantically rude. He demonstrated to me on a phone that the ride took 2 miles to get to the destination and then 3 miles back. I said 5 miles and then he said that was only if it was a perfectly straight drive to the destination and back. WHAT??? The purposes of these google maps etc....they calculate the mileage among other things. He did not like that response. So I went 5 miles according to google maps....and spent over 20$ Do you see a problem with that? The people who say they had an excellent experience with this company either work for the company or are family no doubt. There is just NO way I am ever taking this cab again. read more
