I love the korean lady who works at the front. It's just really nice to see hard work and diligence, personified. As much as I would like to give 5 stars, I have to settle for 4 because they just have too many items on their menu, and, unfortunately, not all of them are good. But what makes them stand out for me is their lunch specials, and I highly recommend their lunch specials, ESPECIALLY their korean food specials. Ummm isn't it obvious, a korean lady cooking korean food should be dammm good? Well it's true believe it or not. On Friday's their special is the korean spicy pork, and let me telll you, it's freaking good. Everytime I eat it at work, people always peep over and ask what I'm eating and where I got it. My coworkers and I frequent Triquest quite a bit - after all, we work just across the way. It's a great spot when you need lunch in a pinch and just can't spend that much time away from the office. My favorites are the Veggie Sandwich - it's chock full of veggies or you can add a meat of your choice for a monstrous sandwich that you probably can't finish. They also make a mean Tuna Melt and Grilled Chicken Burger, too. This spot is consistent which is a plus. I just wish they'd stop increasing their prices so often! read more

I've been occasionally coming to TriQuest on my lunch breaks for about a year. It's right across the street from my office, which is good when you wanna walk off the lazy feeling you get after eating. :) The management has changed within the last 6 months, and the whole place has had a facelift. Many of the same menu items are still available and they advertise Boar's Head. The menus on the wall have been visually upgraded: bigger, more legible, weekly and daily specials. There is some art on the walls and they did some remodeling and moving stuff around to create more space. As far as the food goes, I rarely have a bad food experience there. I have had turkey and avocado sammiches, breakfast burritos (substitute avocado instead of meat), spaghetti and meatballs, tuna sammiches, and I have tried a few bites of the spicy pork over rice. The food is good quality, not badly priced and freshly made. Regarding the service, one thing I want to call out is that the Wednesday lunch special is spaghetti and meatballs. I am a sucker for pasta. My lunch is at 10:15am, which is still breakfast for most places. If I call ahead to let them know I am coming, they will *specially* make spaghetti and meatballs for me! How nice is that? They remember their regular customers, and more than half the time, they remember what we get. One Wednesday, they had made the spaghetti for me, and I had not only not called ahead, I wasn't even at work that day, and they lady asked my co-worker where I was, because my spaghetti was ready. So awesome! I called ahead the next Wednesday to confirm I was definitely coming, and I really appreciated the previous week's effort, and I felt like a jerk for being out that day. ;) read more

We had a company lunch and so we ordered burgers and sandwiches here. I would say that the service was great- orders were prepped just the way wanted it, and it was on a timely fashion. The location is located near our building, so it was very convenient. I ordered the grilled chicken breast burger, and it was typical- nothing special considering the price. They put too much of the leaves- I meant the lettuce, and I am not a big fan of it. My other coworker ordered the Turkey sandwich- she said it tasted different and she didn't like it. I think that when you priced a product higher that the other competitors- you've got to make sure that, that extra cents or dollar should make that product something special in a good way. The prices here really are priced higher than from the other sandwich houses I've been. Well, someone might probably say- "Hello, because it's in Irvine where living standard is higher than in the other cities, it only makes sense that this place priced their menu's higher." Well, here's the newsflash- I beg to differ. Really, I didn't see any special on their menus- the packaging and presentation were typical. Nevertheless- most of their menus were fabulous. read more

I guess people in the area aren't too happy with recent changes, but I really like this place. They serve breakfast and lunch and run 2-3 daily lunch specials including Korean BBQ, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken burritos, BBQ'd beef and taco salad. Not sure on how it works, but I've seen people in the complex bring in Tupperware to be filled, instead of using a Styrofoam container. Nice. I've had more than a few items on the menu and have yet to be dissapointed. Breakfast burrito: Scrambled egg, cheese, potato and bacon wrapped tight in a flour tortilla. Its goldie locks style, not to big or too small and really good. They have a kitchen in the back - you can taste the freshness. Turkey Burger: Fresh and filling. It was a generous patty served on a soft roll with fresh chopped pickle, lettuce, tomato and onion. Larger than an average turkey burger it seemed - my co-woker couldn't even finish hers. Vegetarian Sandwich: So far my favorite. They do fresh well and include mushrooms, avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, provolone and red onion. The sandwich was generous in size and really really good. Sweet potato fries: yum. crispy and yum. Turkey Sandwich: simple and delicious. I like mine on wheat with provolone or swiss. They use some sort of leaf lettuce (not iceberg) a healthy tomato slice... and mayo. new fav. Korean BBQ: sweet, savory, with grilled onions? over a bed of perfectly sticky rice and served with a salad and some orange slices. for lunch in irvine, its a good spot. They also sell chips, an array of drinks, hot and cold sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches... cigarettes. yes they really do have it all. read more

The food is hit or miss here. My coworkers and I usually opt for the avocado burger and fries. The food, from as far as I can tell, comes from Costco across the street. It's just reheated and repackaged for your enjoyment. Hey, it beats having to buy in bulk for one puny burger! It's definitely a place that is convenient to my workplace, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to come here. This deli is located in a prime location next to a lot of businesses so it gets busy during the lunch hour. Best bet is to call your order in to pick it up. Those that are banished to working in the south east area of Irvine have few choices when it comes to a "quick" lunch. Since the choices for a quick lunch for me are limited to Costco, or crappy fast food, I was ecstatic to find this hidden deli just down the street, Triquest cafe. My coworker and I arrived just after noon, and didn't have to wait long in line, and the food was ready even faster! (However, the line was almost to the door by 12:30). This place has everything from teriyaki chicken bowls, which my coworker had and enjoyed, to made to order sandwiches, salads and more! I went for the grilled cheese on sourdough...mighty tasty, and a salad. They have pre-made "plain" salads for about $4, although he offered to turn it into a chef salad of cobb salad for $3 more. Not bad. By glancing at the many options on the menu board everything seems very reasonably priced and they even have breakfast items, which I will be checking out soon. The food here is fresh, made to order and fast! And the gentleman who rang us up was very friendly. This is definitely on my lunch rotation now. read more

Found this place on Postmates. They have a really good breakfast burrito, although I have been disappointed with it lately. Not sure if they got a new cook, but the eggs are being cooked differently and there is too much egg white now. So i will probably not order one again. Triquest has totally saved me on many occasions! My colleagues like to go here for a quick bite or just to pick up lunch quickly. You can call it in and they'll have it ready by the time you get there. The ladies are super nice and everything I've had has been great thus far. I liked this place when the Korean guy owned it. Now that the Korean ladies have taken over it's even better. They did a major rehab, kind of like restaurant impossible, and everything dirty and old is gone and replaced with new surfaces, floors etc. But the best thing is the improved service. I am always greeted with a smile and extreme courtesy. Prices have gone up a bit, but my old staple, the chicken bowl, is still on the menu at a very affordable $5.50 or so. Very smart of them to do this. If you work in this office space this is your best option. read more

5 Stars. I frequently visit the Triquest Cafe with my friends, its typically pretty crowded around the lunch hour but the wait goes by fast. They also take phone orders at any time and the pick-up service is really great! My favorite is definitely the Turkey/Avocado sandwich with a soup of the day or salad. Delicious and always a consistent pleaser! And their hot lunch specials never disappoint! I've never been here before the renovation, but it currently looks really clean and tidy, there is a lot of room to dine in and even more seating outside. Overall there's no other restaurants besides Costco or all the way at the Spectrum(parking disaster) so its definitely the quickest, most affordable, and best way to have lunch. I would say that this is one of my regular lunch spots during the week. It's pretty nice. The food's good, the staff is fairly friendly and the ambiance is very french/jazz like. I will say that if you're planning on stopping by here, come before the lunch rush. It's a little slower paced and relaxing. Triquest pretty much combines a subway, flame broiler, and wendy's together, making it a one stop shop for all your needs. Its a husband and wife team it seems, and indeed for a quick lunch, Triquest is not a bad place to go. Good variety (hamburgers, cold subs, hot subs, grilled sandwiches, chicken/beef on rice) and a stocked shelf of drinks, chips and snacks (they have brownies that evidently are high in fiber) make it difficult to choose something to eat, which is a good thing. I got a ham and cheese, and was grilled nicely, and provided a quick, crunchy, and tasty meal. Service is nice too; the guy, despite being as harried as he is, still stays cool. So small place, but as said before, for the area, its not bad. read more

I was so excited I found this place by my work! The other mom and pop sandwich place in my business park was sandwich plus...and this place was NOT doing it for me. Their menu looks promising. Ordered the BLT for my first visit and it was just okay. It was more a lettuce and mayo burger if anything. They also serve Korean food. Mainly meat over rice bowls with salad. For weeks now one of my coworkers keep talking about this little tucked away gem of a place he has found for lunch and we finally made our way here this week. The place is hard to find, it's in a business center! Which then also means plenty of parking nearby in the lot. Arriving right in the middle of lunch time around 12:20 the line was only about 4-5 people deep. There is always a specials board up from what my coworker told me. He ordered the double cheeseburger, replaced fries with onion rings, and a drink for about 9-10 bucks. I ordered a Tuna melt ($7) and added onion rings on the side ($2-3) with a cup for water. There are about 15 tables with a long bar style seating by the window so seating is plenty. Plus there are about 3-5 tables outside as well. Our food came out about 10 minutes in, it was quite tough to hear the lady calling out names so we would have to keep standing up and peeking over at the food coming out at the counter. As for the food, it was delicious! There are alot of other things that I would be interested to try and I will definitely be back! read more

It's advertised here as open at 7am, but apparently that's not the case. I arrived at 6:45, mostly because I didn't want to sit in rush hour traffic, but also expecting it to be open at 7. Nope. 8am, said the sign at the door. So I waited in my car. No big deal. The lady at the counter was really nice. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I knew I wanted something's breakfasty, but their omelette, burrito, and panini all had pork in it. I don't eat piggies. The lady suggested I get the burrito and substitute their boar head turkey for $1.00 extra. I did. And boy, was it delicious. The turkey was moist and oh so flavorful. Their salsa was pretty bomb, too. I'd go back. The location is a little strange though. read more

A pretty decent sandwich place for lunch at work. They have other things besides sandwiches, but that is what I happen to order one day this week. A turkey, ham and cheese to be precise. The sandwich itself is pretty sizable packed full of slice of meat and for only about $6, its a decent deal.
