Promptly responded to any requests and questions which I had, and also were very thoughtful about advising and helping me decide which paint colors I wanted to put in which location of my home. In addition, the service also purchased and transported all of the paint colors along with additional supplies. They were very careful in terms of getting my possessions out of the way, covering the floors, etc. I can say that not only they do a very neat and crisp paint job, but that there were no smears or stains on any of my personal items, or any which were damaged during the painting. And all this was within the budget I had planned out for painting the rooms I requested. I thoroughly recommend the service and plan to go to them first if I had any other future painting to be done.

To be honest, the only reason we went elsewhere was because we needed a good bit of painting done at the same time and was able to combine into one contractor. Luis was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive, and quick to offer to come out and take a look at the project. He explained everything and was quick to return a quote that was very fair and comparable to others received for the job. He was very easy to get in contact with and returned messages within an hour. He was friendly, kind, personable, and even made it a point to spend time with our pets before he left. Basically -- while I can't speak to the actual skill (although other reviews were happy with LBS's work), service and responsiveness was an A+, which for me matters a ton when hiring a contractor for work on my house.

We had to wait on the guy that was actually doing the work, for his schedule to open up. Most days they showed up late. Never came when they said they would. The metal is not even, it's lumpy looking. There's still opening on our roof which will allow water and other elements to get in. They told us that they were going to put up the foundational railing and they didn't. It should have been part of the job. I will never recommend this business. The job is not complete and we paid them. This company tries to portray that they know what they are doing but the job is incomplete and not done correctly. They also charged us for a trash truck that we never saw and they put the trash in our trash bins. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! They spoke professional and made it sound like they knew what they were doing but they really don't know.

Five stars for Hawthorne Painting! I was driving near my neighborhood when I spotted a sign for…read morethis company, and I pulled it up on Yelp as soon as I got home. I sent a request a quote message and ended up chatting with John, the owner, the same day. He stopped by to see my project, sent me a quote, and within days he and his crew were at my house! We needed our front railing, front door, and roof deck railings to be sanded down and re-painted. Our house is only four years old but, as we've discovered, new construction doesn't always equal the best quality. John and his crew showed up bright and early around 8:30am, and worked tirelessly in the sun until the project was finished around 4pm. John explained the differences in the types of paint he needed to use for the railings and door. Everyone in the crew was friendly and careful about their work space - by the time they left, you wouldn't have known they were even here, aside from their gorgeous handiwork! My husband and I think the railings and door look even better now than they did when we bought our house. My only regret? Not taking before and after photos! These guys made a world of difference and I'm so happy every time I look at my front door. I highly recommend Hawthorne Painting and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for another project.

Also, I later learned that even though I was billed for permits, the city had no record of any application for permits. I advise looking elsewhere for a reputable contractor.

And he was even responsive via text which made this whole process even easier than call after call. Definitely recommend his business. What they did to our home was nothing short of amazing. We had a full gut rehab and went over budget a good amount to where we couldn't finish the backyard. These gentlemen worked with our budget and even found gaps in our rehab project (roof leaks, bathroom finish, gutters/drains, etc) and even fixed those for us. Now I could say that alone would be a selling point, but no, there's more. They worked quickly and efficiently! They were punctual and communicative in every step of the way. On top of that, they are great people. No one that our family spoke with ever lied to us about something they would or could do and they always made sure to check in with us along the way. I wrap this up saying this. We had a terrible backyard, TERRIBLE! It looked like it could not be salvaged with all that needed to be done and getting things in and out of it. These men are miracle workers and will for sure be invited back to our home for the housewarming and whenever we need anything else as a contracting service! 6 Stars!
