As a doula, Kristen was an amazing support to me and my husband in the prenatal, birthing, and postpartum process. In the prenatal period, she provided a comprehensive overview of things to think about and consider with many helpful resources. She had so many creative ideas to create a memorable and beautiful birthing space, with art and flags containing my birth mantras. I was also experiencing a lot of angst due to a diagnosis late in my pregnancy, for which Kristen provided a lot of needed optimism and positivity, and also helped me think about how to imagine each possible birth scenario with peace. During the actual birth, Kristen was a source of great support with suggestions of switching positions, using the rebozo, keeping me hydrated, repeating words of encouragement, and generally tuning into whatever I needed. In the postpartum period, Kristen was especially helpful when I expressed a bout of intense postpartum blues / anxiety. She came in with a lot of ideas and a listening ear. She also made sure I had sitz bath ready, postpartum tea, and nourishing broth. And, she managed to capture the most meaningful photos of these stages (prenatal, birth, postpartum) that we will forever cherish. I could not recommend her more highly for any and all of these services!!

We traveled across state lines specifically to work with Kristen and it was worth every moment in travel.

When we met Marianne at 5:30am at the park, she immediately felt like a best friend. She is HILARIOUS, sooo friendly, and she made the entire photography session FUN. The pictures came back very quickly and OOOMMMGGGGGG ARE YOU SERIOUS?! She PERFECTLY captured the breathtaking beauty of the park AND the love my husband and I have for each other. My husband feels pretty indifferent about most pictures, and even he said, "WOW. These are amazing!" I cannot recommend Marianne enough. Flash forward 18 months later to our big day, Marianne and her protégé Grace KILLED IT. Those girls were down in the rocks, laying on the side of cliff, collaborating with one another on how to get the shot. They told us exactly what to do (which I desperately needed) and prioritized what we wanted - which was the most EPIC shots possible. Marianne and Grace are worth every single cent and every single moment of the wait. I felt like I was dreaming working with her. They are truly talented women who have a gift at their craft.
