Trio Capri performed at my dog's quince! They were so amazing from beginning to end. Communication was great, they played beautifully, and added a joyous element to the party. I found Mariachi Capri when in search for music for my dad's 70th birthday party. Being that I live in WA and the party was in CA, I was a little nervous booking online and sending money for the deposit without speaking with someone in person but after speaking with Richard over the phone, I went ahead and booked them. I am glad I did!! This 3 musicians sing amazing! They engage with the crowd to get them in the mood to dance and engage with the songs. Another huge plus is that for a 3 hour booking, they only took 2 breaks and they showed up on time. I recommend these guys 100%.

This is the second time I have hired this trio, and they do not disappoint. Their vibe is on point, and they really do get the crowd going. They know a variety of songs, and we appreciate that because there's nothing worse than requesting a song only to hear "esa no." Communication was excellent, and they're punctual. We got these guys literally last minute and they came through! An hour is what we needed but the vibe was so chill, we asked them if they would do another hour which they agreed too. Perfect for a small gathering like ours. Not too loud and overbearing just right. People were dancing and singing can't ask for anything more. I recommend the Trio!!!

We recently celebrated our Dads birthdays and surprised him and our family with Trio Mariachi Capri. They did a wonderful job! Communication and securing date was easy, they were professional, arrived on time and bring all of their sound equipment. They know a wide selection of songs and sing well. Richard and his group were awesome! Out of the 7 requested songs, they knew 5 and were very accommodating. They were timely, well dressed (love the traditional Mariachi get up) and were excellent musicians and vocals. While it's only 3 in the band (bass guitar, traditional guitar, and a second guitar) it was absolutely lovely. We hosted a block party going away party and it was a hit! Would use them again!

Grateful I was referred to them by a friend. Amazed at how great they were. I was looking for a trio or a mariachi to perform on a 4 hour notice. My friend referred gave me their number. I called and spoke to Richard. He was so kind and understanding of my last minute situation... ON CHRISTMAS! He called me back to confirm they would be able to play that night. I had confirmed two hours. He was very easy to talk to and answered all of the questions I had. Later on, the trio gets to the party. They played great music.. and took SOOO MANY requests and played all of the ones they knew. They were asked to stay another hour when their two hours hit...and they agreed. Then the third hour almost hit and were asked to stay another hour.. AND THEY AGREED! Needless to say, they stayed for four hours in total. They kept the party alive, were so outgoing, and interacted with everyone. I appreciate how they kept the professionalism on top of being the most easy going guys there. I won son of the year by hiring Trio Mariachi Capri. I connected with them to surprise my Mom on her birthday. They were very easy to communicate with in regard to pricing & payment, hours, and followed up with me the day prior to ensure they were going to arrive on the agreed upon time. On the day of the event, they arrived on time and called me so that I could meet with them and provide instruction on how to execute the surprise. They made this whole process very easy. These gentlemen did an amazing job last November when I hired them for my moms birthday right after thanksgiving. I contacted them short notice and they communicated with me right away, showed up on time, and made my moms birthday! All of my grandparents, tias, and mom knew all of the songs that they played. These guys are absolutely amazing. Our sister in law was celebrating her 80th birthday and loves Mariachi. I asked on social media for a recommendation for a band and was told about them. We could not be happier. Their voices and instruments were beautiful. If you are looking for a mariachi band look no further. We just celebrated my mom's birthday last Sunday and my brother decided he wanted to hire a mariachi four days before and they made it happen. Communication was great, they were early and they knew every single song my mom requested. Every single one! I can't thank this Trio enough. First off a few hurdles of them having to get to a marina, find the boat that they were playing on. Then had to travel to get to the destination. My guest got up and danced, having a great time enjoying the music. I received lots of compliments on the band. Established in 1998.

Founded in the late '90s, Trio Mariachi Capri began as a duo with my dad on requinto and my older brother on rhythm guitar. Two years later, I (Richard) joined, making us a trio. Despite my brother's departure, we maintain our trio mariachi going, offering lively renditions of the most popular mariachi and trio music.

He was so considerate and waited for us to make a quick run to the store to buy the candles. All I can say is that you should definitely consider having them for your celebration. They were amazing! He was easy going and full of jokes. Freddie set us up with a nice six piece mariachi and they (himself included) brought Casino San Clemente to live during the cocktail hour and dinner portion of our wedding. Also shoutout to a fun Grand Entrance to Wedding March rendition. They played lots of guest requests and mariachi staples. My wife and I were too caught up to make more requests and see if they knew Poco Loco but it's all good because our guests enjoyed the great live musicians. I hired Trio Mariachi to play at my fathers grave side funeral service. After speaking to Richard I figured it was best if they pick 3 songs for us. They arrived at the cemetery early and were very professional and extremely easy to work with. When they started to play, I knew I had made a great choice. They were awesome!!! Beautiful voices and smooth on the instruments. My dad would have loved them. My extended family had so many great comments for them. The oldest member of our large family told me he had never seen something like this at a funeral. It had brought him to tears. My aunts insisted that i get the words of the 3 songs translated for my mother, apparently they were singing to my mother (we don't speak Spanish). Richard was very helpful getting the titles of the songs along with the lyrics. As it turns out it was a great choice letting them pick the songs. One of the songs was "Amor Eterno" which translates to "Endless Love" which was my mom and dads favorite song. She cried when she found out. I would highly recommend Trio Mariachi for any occasion. If they could make such a positive impression on my family during such a difficult time with just 3 songs, my guess it they would be perfect for any occasion. read more

Richard Vargas and his band never showed up to my wedding despite having a contract and giving a deposit to secure the date. Be sure to read the contract as it only holds the client responsible for canceling but NOT the mariachi band for a no show. The band said they booked another event an hour away, then had car trouble. They actually called me on my wedding day and asked that they be picked up 40 minutes from my wedding an hour before they were scheduled to arrive, which for obvious reasons was impossible. Just be aware that this band will not be responsible for NOT showing up to your event (the contract only holds client responsible in event of cancellation) nor will they be responsible for transportation if they have car trouble. They refused to call a taxi, uber, Lyft or anything and had the nerve to ask ME (the bride) or one of my guest to pick them up 40 minutes away DURING my wedding when I was already at my reception. Also, they delete any negative reviews on their website. Beware. Please read their reviews on The Knot. Richard has a history of being a "no show" so don't risk it on a special day you can't get back. read more

Just Amazing!!! These guys are so awesome. My mom was in a horrible car accident and has been in the hospital for a month. We wanted to cheer her up since she loves Music and we hired the trio to serenade her at the hospital, and they brought tears to her eyes.. I highly recommend hiring these guys. I have hired many bands and this was far the best group ever!! if I could give them 10 stars I would. They were prompt and very lively and personable. This mariachi band is completely bogus. On the night of my event, I had to call and see where the Mariachi band was because it was 30 mins over the time they were supposed to be there. When I called and spoke to their manager/band member Emerson Vargas, he pretended not to know who I was. I never got my deposit back and have spent countless hours trying to get in contact with them. Save your money, these people are crooks. From reviewing the other reviews on this site, it looks like Im not the only one. It WILL happen to you too. read more

I just had the Trio Mariachi Capri perform at my mother's 90th birthday party on Jan 17, 2015. We had over 150 people, who enjoyed their music. The Trio walked around the hall and played to every table. They performed requested songs and there wasn't a song that they didn't know. I highly recommend the Trio, they are friendly and very people oriented. They were on time, they were well dressed and most of all a great pleasure. Very unprofessional. They require a $100 deposit, but when they don't show up to your event, they simply refund your deposit and call it even. I would have preferred a mariachi band that actually show up to my event than the refunded deposit. I would not recommend this company. Also, all the testimonials on their website are filtered by mariachi trio capri so that they can delete all the negative ones and only display the positive comments. read more
