It is imperative that I start with the following statement, "Never once did this difficult and…read morepainful process seem transactional." After researching and meeting with other funeral homes in the area, I was convinced that God divinely orchestrated our selection of Briscoe-Tonic. Passion is clearly the driving force behind these operations. The naturally harmonious interior design of the establishment offers peace, tranquility, functionality, and adaptability. Atlantis, Ed, Derrick, and Sherice came alongside us as if our mother/auntie was a part of their lineage too! From our first conversation with Atlantis, we knew this was the funeral home for us. The staff instantly became a part of our family; we felt seen, heard, respected, and loved. Every interaction was hospitable, authentic, and meaningful. We were confident that we could entrust them with the funeral arrangements and services of our mother/auntie. From start to finish, the staff ensured that our requests were implemented with love, class, excellence, and perfection. Atlantis' coordination was exceptional. He was patient and attentive, allowing us the time and space to make the best decisions for our family without unnecessary pressure and cost. Atlantis' guidance eased our stress and ensured that we stayed a united front as we planned. His personality was infectious, allowing us to experience joy in his presence. He promised us that our loved one would be honored and memorialized in the most beautiful way. Atlantis delivered! Together, Ed and Derrick acted as our pillars of faith, reminding us of God's love, favor, and grace every step of the way. We even shared laughs together, as we collectively remembered all the good times we enjoyed with those that we have loss over the years. In a selfless act, Ed voluntarily shifted his schedule to ensure that he would be with us on the day of the funeral service. Not only did Ed hold our hands, but he also held our hearts. Derrick's oversight of the program enabled us to shift our minds to the memory of our beloved. His attention to detail, calming spirit, and warm smile removed all anxiety. Our focus was on our family, Derrick's focus was not only on the operation, but, also on each of us, and our guests; even those joining us by way of live stream! Many shared that the quality of the video made them feel as if they were right there with us at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home. The thoughtfulness of Sherice was present throughout the time we spent at Briscoe-Tonic; culminating in the presentation of personal bouquets that she made for the daughter and granddaughters of our departed using the flowers gifted to our family. There were many unexpected special touches throughout the service. As you can see, we received the highest level of service and personalized care at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home. Therefore, they have our strongest recommendation and praise for a job well done! There is simply not enough space to express our gratitude, admiration, and appreciation for our new family at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home. Truly impressive!

It's a beautiful place very elegant. I was somewhat disappointed though with the staff, they were…read moretalking during a service and it was disrespectful and disturbing. The audience was trying to concentrate on the services. Also they seemed to try to influence how things ended when everything needed to be said had been said.

From the moment we contacted them, the team at RMT was caring, responsive, and thoroughly professional. They treated our family with the utmost respect, and more importantly, honored my mother with dignity and excellence. Every detail--from the preparation to the service--was handled with care and precision. Their attention to detail was top notch. The staff anticipated needs we hadn't even considered and created a seamless experience that allowed us to focus on celebrating her life. The service was beautiful, costs were more than reasonable, and the overall coordination was flawless. During a time of grief, RMT provided peace of mind. I am forever grateful for the way they supported our family and honored my mother's legacy. I highly recommend RMT Funeral Home to any family seeking respectful, professional, and exceptional care during a time of loss. Thank you, RMT, for everything. Kimberly Bannister

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things a family can go through, but RMT Funeral Home made…read morethe process feel less overwhelming. From the moment we reached out, Jessyca treated my brother with the care and dignity he deserved--as if he were part of her own family. She guided us with compassion, patience, and professionalism every step of the way. We immediately felt at ease with her, which meant everything during such a painful time. What stood out just as much as her kindness was the value of the service we received. The cost was incredibly reasonable--especially considering the level of attention, detail, and support we were given. Other funeral homes could have easily charged significantly more for the same quality of care. On behalf of my entire family, I can say without hesitation that we wholeheartedly recommend RMT Funeral Home. They made a heartbreaking time a little more bearable, and we'll always be grateful for that.

Not all veterans are buried in Arlington Nation Cemetery. Some are buried in State veteran cemetery…read moresuch as this one. They have been burying veterans here since 1978. There are almost 30,000 Maryland veterans laid to rest on this 112 acre grounds. It is open from 8 to 5 everyday and they conduct abut 825 burials each year. You will notice the beautiful flags flying in the wind as you enter the grounds. Unfortunately, the welcome center is closed due to COVID which was awesome. It has a rest room and a grave locator kiosk to help you locate a grave that you are looking for. Now they provide you with a website that you can look up the grave site that you are looking for. The cemetery grounds are well maintained and marked. I was easily able to find the grave that I was looking for. This place is very respectful and somber. The staff and grounds keeps are always very friendly when I interact with them.

My father's burial was Tuesday November 25, 2025. Once arriving, we had to gather 6 pallbearers and…read moreescort him into the chapel. He did receive the horn and the folding of the US Flag which was presented to the family. Our six pallbearers transferred him back into the hearse where we were able to follow it around to the backhoe that was waiting. We observed four men remove him from the hearse and place him on what looked like two concrete slabs. He was tossed around due to the unsteadiness of these men. Next he was hoisted up by the bucket of the backhoe by straps that I thought were going to snap. Then we watch them lower him down into the concrete casing, tossing him around like a rag doll. They then raise him up again for his journey to his burial site. Once again he was being jerked and swayed. So praying that they reached his final resting place in tact. In my eyes he was being treated like roadkill. Such a disservice to a man that served his country as a Marine and was so proud to be one. It was horrific and so traumatic to watch. The lack of Respect and Honor that he clearly was NOT given. I am truly appalled and disgusted with the treatment he received. All the men and women that have served this country DESERVE a burial of the utmost high. Clearly NOT given here. For future reference, please if these continue to be your practices, do not let the families witness. How hard is it to set up a tent, have the machine in place that lowers the casket down slowly and steady? This is the least that can be done to HONOR those that HONORED this country
