I had the opportunity to visit St. Joseph's as a parent for a PSIA competition which is basically a…read moreUIL competition for private schools. Once I was able to find the school everything went very smoothly. The staff that I encountered was very friendly and helpful to every visitor that they came across and worked hard to encourage the kiddos to do well (the ages started at 6 y/o and went through Jr. High I believe). The school itself is a little dated but very well taken care of; it's obvious that they take pride in the facility and work hard to keep it clean and celebrate its age instead of hiding it. I really like that approach and enjoyed wondering through the halls to see how everything was setup. The only real negative I have is the aggressive driving you must employ when exiting from I27, which, if you know its coming is probably little more than a typical turn. I am not sure the attendance of the school, so parking may be fine for a usual day but for a large regional competition the parking was a challenge and the tight streets meant you had to keep a close eye open for people trying to cross the street.
