From the minute we reached out to Deborah in June of 2020, we knew we needed to work with her. She was unbelievably responsive, but most of all kind and compassionate. Within 20 minutes of speaking with her, we immediately booked her for Day of Coordinator services for our May 1, 2021 wedding. Throughout Fall 2020 and Winter 2021, Deborah continued to be responsive and listen to our worries and concerns. When we made the decision to proceed with a 50-person "micro wedding" on May 1, 2021 and postpone our 300-person reception to March 2022, Deborah was right there to assure us that everything would work out. Leading up to May 1st, we were assigned Kristin as our Day of Coordinator. Kristin met with us and helped to organize our wedding day itinerary, which still involved a decent amount of logistics even though we were still only having 50 people. She followed up with all of our vendors leading up to May 1st to confirm details and timing, as well. Both Deborah and Kristin showed up at our rehearsal on April 30th and even though we were meeting them in person for the first time, it felt like we had known them for years. They were prepared and knew the details of our mass in and out. On the morning of May 1st, Kristin texted us when she was on her way and asked if we needed any last minute items. As soon as she arrived, though, is when we saw the value of having the Deborah Minarik team with us in action. Kristin swooped in and ensured that every single detail (big and small) was handled accordingly. She checked in on the groom, dads and groomsmen to make sure they were all ready, made sure the bride, moms and bridesmaids had all eaten enough and set up all accessories for detailed photos. Kristin worked closely with our photographer and videographer throughout the day to make sure that every photo we wanted was taken and even held the cathedral veil and train throughout countless photos to ensure the perfect shot was taken. When we arrived at our venue, Kristin checked to make sure everything had been set up as requested. She even went to great lengths to find a banner we thought had gone missing and needed for a picture, and even offered to drive back to the hotel to get it (thankfully it ended up being under the sweetheart table). Not once during the day, did we stress about logistics. Kristin was a calming presence and we were so lucky to have her with us. Having her there throughout the day allowed us to be worry-free and truly enjoy every single moment. Hiring Deborah and her team was one of the best decisions we made and we are so thankful that we'll get to work with them again in March 2022. We highly recommend booking them ASAP!

Not only did a friend of ours who is also getting…read moremarried soon ask us for her info while we were still at the wedding, but even the bridal attendant at our venue said that Janet was wonderful, which was especially meaningful to us since she also told us that often the day-of coordinator and bridal attendant end up stepping on each other's toes a bit, which was not at all the case here. She kept everything and everybody on track, and there wasn't even the slightest hiccup of any kind throughout the entire day. Our parents initially weren't entirely on board with the idea of a day-of coordinator, but relented after the day went so smoothly. We were all able to fully enjoy the wedding, and be guests at our own party!

What's even cooler is that the original red brick laboratory building still stands, and is the only surviving Tesla lab today. The amazing thing about this place is it is where Tesla worked and lived, right here on Long Island. The history surrounding this place is really awesome and if you do any kind of research on this brilliant inventor you will find that many things you thought were invented by other's were really ideas and inventions of his. I am so happy that the people working to renovate this historical site are so dedicated and passionate about spreading the word to the public. I hope the next event here is even better than this previous one and it just keeps getting bigger and better. If you live on Long Island and especially around the Shoreham area you really need to get involved and help spread the word about this amazing historical site right in our own back yard! She was always easy to reach and prompt with getting back to me. Absolutely loved working with her. My guests were happy and the kids were also entertained. The photographer was also very professional and so talented. She captured the event so well that someone can feel like they were there. The pastries and cake were also beautiful and delicious. John & Nikki.. I honestly don't know where to begin. We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. They are that good, and their price was totally reasonable. From the beginning, I knew we were in great hands. They provided us with DJ / MC / Sound / Lights / Video in one simple package, they even created a beautiful 250 pic video photo montage for us that was beautiful. They communicated with our other vendors through out the night and followed the planned script perfectly and played all music as previously selected as well as all the typical dance standards. It was LIT as my daughter said when it was over (which we didnt want to end). Ivan and his team are total pros, very personable and very easy to deal with and that took a lot of weight ofs our shoulders as we trusted him to run with the program and he did not disappoint us. The questionnaire used for planning was all online as well as their catalog of services provided. Ivan was super accommodating and played all the songs we requested. He was on point with the wedding day itinerary and helpful with suggestions. We had some guests who also DJ and they came up to me raving about how his song mixes/wordplay was spot on. The photo booth was a hit - highly recommend and you receive a link to all photos/gifs taken. We also added on the saxophonist and 8 ft robot. Rob was also fantastic and I'm so glad DUDJ's provided him as the MC. High energy, big smiles, and these two were able to read to crowd and perform accordingly. Their DJ light setup was soooo much better than other DJ's I vetted (not to mention the others were upselling this and Drive Up provides this as a standard). I would have zero hesitation booking this team again and will be recommending them to all friends/family for future events.
