Turnaround time from layout to install was about 4 weeks. I had checked around before ordering my counter top and it varied from 4 to 6 weeks for most companies, but it was well worth the wait. The quality of my counter tops are great. Because of the length of my cabinets there had to be a seam in one of my counter top, I was somewhat concerned abought the seam, and how it would look at completion, but it was flawless. from layout technician to install technicians everything was five star. They showed up on time, were vary professional, clean, answered all my questions, quiet and fast. I would recommend Trindco to everyone I meet. I gave them 3 stars because my countertops are cute but the installation was a nightmare. During the measurement a Trinco employee advised my existing countertop was installed incorrectly, it was too long so the people who installed it cut into the wall to make it fix. The Trinco employee then advised they will not do that, the countertop will be cut to fix up against the wall, I advised "that sounds like the finish work will look tacky and ugly." The Trinco employee advised "no, they will make it look nice and I won't notice anything wrong." I was left with a hole on each side of the wall and had to hire a handyman to fix their work. I reported the issue to Trinco and didn't even get an apology. Poor customer service and no integrity! read more

Highly dissatisfied with my experience with Trindco. I had a phenomenal experience with a big box store who recommended Trindco as the only solid-surface provider in the area. They sent someone out to measure who was just downright rude and argumentative about how things should be placed. That should have been a sign to cancel the order and not go through with them. On the day of installation, two gentlemen arrived and left a MESS in our driveway. It was apparent that we were the last job of the day and they were just ready to be done. The measurements were incorrect on two pieces of countertop/backsplash (photo below) and they left without caulking all of the seams. When I contacted my POC at Trindco, she told me there wasn't much they could do and in order to meet the end of the bar top, you'd have the back of the material exposed which wouldn't look good. A) That's not true. B) As the customer, it's my decision on what would look good. Highly disappointing installation and customer service. Now every time someone comes over to see our newly finished kitchen, I'll be able to point out Trindco's mistake and tell them to steer clear!!! read more

I caution everyone to NOT use the person Trindco referred me to level the cabinets. His name is Hike Sunkler and he was sloppy, rude, and incompetent. He left a huge mess and told me that I could fix it myself. This was after telling me that I was "looking too closely." What could have been a great experience turned out to be awful. This 1 star review follows the recent trend of 1 star reviews Trindco has received. Very poor communication. No follow-ups. Stange pricing methods. Lots of delays from the initial scheduling, to existing countertop removal to the templating mess. Lots of room for improvement in the customer service department. I ended up with Trindco through Lowes and the entire process was bad from day one. Six weeks in I canceled my order and was was able to have my deposit refunded. I used Rock Solid Surfaces before in Virginia Beach and had a pleasant experience. I wish I would have used them again. read more

Trindco did my kitchen granite install. My 1st point of contact was Jen, she was terrific to work with, also kind. patient and willing to help. My husband and I are extremely satisfied and happy. Jorden was our actual installer, Zach was his helper. Jorden certainly knows his job and what he was doing And he understandably needed Zach and his strength. Didn't know how heavy granite really was. . While the guys were installing, the supervisor, Phil came by to check in with the guys . Whew, working with them was NOT a good experience. First let me say that we picked this company because we were trying to keep our business local, in our community. And we didn't use them with a big box store, we worked with them directly. One star is given for the large selection we had to pick from and the other star is for the guys who did the actual install. Everything was good until they received the money, after that it went downhill. Communication with this company is horrible. I left messages and sent emails and oftentimes didn't hear back until the third time of attempting. I also asked to speak with a manger about 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear back. Again unresponsive. A Wednesday and Friday install turned into a month of having my kitchen in disarray. I understand staff shortages and all problems that have resulted from the pandemic but all I wanted was communication. Sadly, I felt like I was bothering them but felt pretty stuck since they require payment in full. Yes, I did let them know their customer service was bad and I also gave some recommendations on what they could do differently so other people would not have to experience what I did. If you use them, have a lot of patience and have a good understanding of this process because they don't do a good job of explaining anything. Final thoughts, I would not recommend. read more

HORRIBLE, ARROGANT CUSTOMER SERVICE (and for the price I paid for Buckingham Cambria quartz, well...you would have thought they would treat their customers, that again, pay a lot of money for their products and service much, much better!). A few years ago I bought quartz counters from them directly (insead of going through Home Depot who uses this horrible company) and was told that if I bought the quartz through Home Depot they would have given me a "free standard stainless steel sink" but since I dealt directly with them they wouldn't honor this "Home Depot agreement" that by the way, at that time, was pretty standard for these type of companies to do. Ok, that was stupid but a "red flag" to "we do not really give a crap about whether our customers are happy, we are just out to grab their money" attitude I would experience again and again. Just recently I decided to add a few more cabinets and I needed more counter so I called again. After leaving a message for "Cristy" (my prev salesperson), and getting no response for a WEEK, I called again. She blew my concern about not being contacted by telling me "she was busy and...oh yea, she didn;t even get my message" liek what kind of phone system do these people have? I believe she was lying; I believe she got my message but just has no professionalism or "motivation" to call people back (lazy? complacent? not good customer service either way). She then told me that I would have to place my order first BEFORE she could give me a price, which would have been a major issue if I needed a crane for this second order or not (the first order I paid some outrageous amt for a crane and I did not want to do that again for a 2feet by 9feet piece of quartz). She insisted she could not figure out if a crane would be needed for this size quartz; again, I had to place y order, then be told it this was an additional price. I never heard of such a thing. Who the hell operates business this way except an arrogant company that really doesn't care if they get your order or not even if you are a previous customer? I was told the same thing by others on the OBX who say this is the "only company" that sells quartz, granite, etc. in our area (not true) so if you want this product you just have to deal with their "crappy attitude". I did try to call Hunter Adams who I was told was the owner but (surprise, surprise!) he never returned my call either (guess this is where his employees learn to emulate his arrogant, "who needs you" unprofessional attitude). Would I ever buy from this company again? NEVER! I work too hard for my money to be treated this way -- BUYER BEWARE, they may have nice product but they are not good people! read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've had working with a company. They were subcontracted through Home Depot and almost at once there was a communication breakdown. I began a process in November of replacing our counters and sink, bought the sink from HD and ordered the counters as well. Trindco took another several months getting it done and cut the counters for a drop in sink when we expressly told them we ordered an under-mounted sink. They also never told us that we were expected to tear out the old counters, so when the guys arrived to install the new one there was an issue and an extra $750 tagged on. They should have at least asked us if we were going to do the tear out (but who does this in their own house?) we quite reasonably assumed that this was part of what we were paying for. When they discovered that they had made a mistake with our sink and were going to have to completely redo the granite, they said they would 'wave' the $750 for the tear out. The funny thing is that the guys who installed it (who were great btw) said that a tear out us usually about $250. So with the kind of service I got from these people, I suspect they just jacked up their charges for the tear out so it would look like I was getting a discount of almost $800.00 I think Home Depot needs to drop this company as a partners. read more

We made the trek all the way out here on the advice of our big box consultant who was helping us choose granite for our entire house. She recommended we check with Trindco for their remnants. I picked the Hubs up from work in Norfolk from VB and then headed out...waaaaay out to Suffolk. We got there at our appointment time and then waited...and waited. The whole process of picking out samples that we liked that checking to see if there were remnants available could have been streamlined greatly. Then adding to that, our woman took a phone call from her partner and set us back another 15 minutes (which was already pushing my husband's lunch break at this point). After we got the estimate for the bathrooms...it was more than our kitchen (which is huge and more square footage than all three bathrooms combed) estimate (non-remnant). The little showroom is nice and there are samples of various solid surfaces for you to see. They use Kohler for the faucets, I believe. The sinks are included with your estimates and a pretty good price. You may be able to find a deal out there, but we just didn't have any luck that day. The people were nice and the guys retrieving the remnants for us to see express their gratitude to my husband for his military service. Making the process of selecting samples and verifying whether or not there are remnants available in that size more efficient would help greatly. They do have a location near the Oceanfront but the remnants are in Suffolk. All in all, I believe others will have some luck going out there but we, unfortunately, did not. read more

I ordered my counter tops through Lowe's. Trindco was the subcontractor that was to do the install. The person that came out to do the laser measurement was very informed and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. The company called me to set up a date and time for install and this is where stuff went wrong. I took off of work and took my counters and sink off. They were to arrive between 2 and 4. At 245 I got a phone call from trindco stating that their truck broke down and they would not be able to come out until tomorrow at 2. Remember: I have no sink and no counter top at this point AND this will require me to take off another day of work. I relayed this to the person on the phone and they said "sorry". ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME!!!! You mean to tell me that's your contingency plan. "If we can't make it, we will just call up the customer and say sorry, how could they be upset after that?" Trindco needs to take some lessons in risk mitigation. An apology only goes so far. 1 day of paid vacation costs me $32 dollars per hour, for 8 hours. That is over 240 dollars. Trindco has done nothing to make me feel like a valued customer, because guess what... You aren't their customer!! You are lowes' customer and they are the subcontractor. They have no vested interest in you. Understand before you buy from the big box store that if they use trindco as their installer, you will not be valued by them. Call lowes and complain and they should help you out if you aren't happy with them. read more

Trindco is a great company. I had new quartz countertops installed in my beach house at OBX in NC. Everyone I dealt with was competent and professional. They are detail oriented and executed a flawless project. A crane was needed to hoist the countertops to the top level and everything was done safely. BUYER BEWARE! I purchased the countertops through Home Depot. Trindco did a terrible job installing them. They damaged the drywall in my kitchen and bathrooms. The caulk job looked like a 16 year old did it. I submitted a claim to Home Depot's insurance company "Sedgwick Claims Mgmt. Services. They NEVER sent anyone out to look at the damage and we received a letter from Sedgwick stating that "the installation was completed in accordance with industry standard"! read more

They insisted we pay 100% up front (because we reside out of state and are installing counters in a rental property). The "Designer" said: "We only litigate in VA - if we don't pay the final bill --- so must have 100% payment when signing contract." Odd thing to say to a customer. They don't trust their customers from the very beginning of a contract ----- in my experience, that is because they are not trustworthy. With their many negative reviews - multiple trips to get the job right, etc. - paying up front would be a foolish thing to do. If I can give this company a negative star I would. I was on deployment and had Lowes to come to install a new countertop. I was expecting to return home to a newly remodeled kitchen, but I returned to a total disaster, broken back slash, a hole is the wall from them pushing the countertop through the wall instead of taking it back to the shop and cutting it to fit the counter, and the installer did not know what the hell they were doing installing the countertop backsplash. All they wanted to do is a half A#$ job and leave to mess up someone else countertop. I have been giving the run around from them since Aug 2021 and it is Feb 2022, still NOTHING from them or Lowes whom they were contracted through. I will not recommend this company from Lowes to do any work on your house. I took my complaint to Lowes and there were 3 other customers waiting to talk to management about the same issues with the same company. If you are planning to install new countertop, use someone else. They will not accept the reasonability of their damage or try to compensate you for the damage they caused in your house. read more

My husband and I purchased quartz countertops through Home Depot who sub contracted with Trindco in Suffolk, VA. When my husband and I went to view our quartz slab, we were not greeted by a receptionist for help. One of Trindco's Caucasian employees talked to a white couple while my husband and I who are African American seemed to be invisible to her. We would have not been helped if I did not walk into one of the offices and asked for Ms. Kathie Garrett. Ms. Garrett appeared to be pleasant. She took us out to look at our quartz slab and we agreed to have it installed on August 3rd. Ms. Garrett told us they would not be able to install the quartz if the cabinets were uneven. Unfortunately the side of the cabinets near the sink and dishwasher was uneven;therefore they only installed countertops on one side of the kitchen. My husband called a carpenter within the hour to install shams. The installers had to leave and go to their next job. I was very disappointed but I understood they had a schedule to follow. The problem came because my husband took off the old countertops and disconnected the sink which left us without the use of a sink. The installers told us to call Ms. Kathie Garrett and reschedule another time to complete the job. I called Ms. Garett immediately and she said she would call me back with another install date to complete the job. This was on Friday, August 3, 2018. I had to call her back on Monday, August 6th. She was busy and finally called back to say they could not come out again until Monday, August 13th. My family has been without the use of the kitchen sink since Friday August 3rd. Trindco should have a plan set in place to help customers with this problem. I feel wronge by this company two times, once when I felt we were ignored because we are African Americans and secondly they could care less about me and my family struggling without the use of our kitchen sink. I am going to call Home Depot because they set us up with this company who does not care about their customers. I cannot recommend Trindco or Home Depot to any of my friends. Trindco has yet to prove itself to me. We purchased our counter top through Home Depot. So far the back splash is on it's third try and the sinks and faucets do not fit. We have been told they might be able to adjust the hole for the faucet but unfortunately that is not going to work considering the hole is right by the sink. Even if a second hole was drilled, what would I do with the gap next to the sink. It does not even measure the same as the other sink and faucet. This was not a cheap counter top and I do not want a patched job on a NEW counter top. read more

I heard back several weeks later and the price to fix their work was $375--only 12 inches of the adhesive was missing. I laughed and told them I would do the 10-minute job myself. read more

I enjoy shopping at Lowes and have always had a great experience. So, when I shopped at Lowes for a kitchen countertop I trusted them when I was told the countertop I wanted would be measured, cut and installed by Trindco. Trindco is the company Lowes uses for countertops. Initially I received several customer services follow up calls (confirming order, thanking me for choosing them, to come see the granite when it arrived, to ask if there were any concerns, etc.). Well that wonderful customer service STOPPED when they cracked my granite and my brand new cabinet. They sent someone to repair the crack in the granite, but three weeks later and I am still fighting to get a return my calls regarding the chipped cabinet. The customer service dropped to zero. A representative named Kathy has not been taught the value of customer service. When working with the public, one must RETURN A CALL whether you have answers or not, just to let the customer know you are still working on it AND to honor your word that you called when you said you would. I can not get this person to return my calls. I have reported to Lowes the problems and they are working to resolve the issue. The experience has not been all bad, I initially met with Jennifer at Trindco, so far she has been the ONLY reason I would rate them at least 1 star ( Great work Jennifer), unfortunately, she is not the person to work with regarding the repairs, that must be done by Kathy. We bought granite tops through lowes and trindco was out installer as well. Like another review, the guy who came out to measure did a good job and after that it was a nightmare. They installed our tops, after allowing it to cure I went to hook up the plumbing and the dishwasher door wouldn't shut because they had shifted the cabinet when installing their dishwasher bracket making a previously 24" wide opening 1/4" narrower causing the dishwasher door to hit the adjacent cabinets. They came to fix, the kid told me he was done, I asked if he had a tape measure so I could verify the opening, he said he didn't (so I don't know how he fixed it) got my own tape and noticed that their new bracket wasn't pre drilled into my brand new cabinets and the split the face frame of the cabinet. Had to wait for lowes to order a replacement. They came to remove the top so I could replace the cabinet they broke, but they decided to leave the back splash and slide the top out and broke the sink base in the process. (Of course they didn't say anything) had to wait for another replacement cabinet. The whole time were about to have a baby and out kitchen project was supposed to have been done months before hand and wasn't. We still didn't even have running water in the kitchen when the baby was born. Trindco is the absolute worst. Asides from the guy who measures every person they sent to our home was incompetent. Apparently they are the only installer for lowes, so think five or six times before purchasing granite through lowes. Lowes was also very terrible at handling the issue the whole time and pretty much told me I had no choice but to have trindco in my house or I'd have to get a refund and buy granite elsewhere and we didn't really have that kind of time. Never spending money in lowes again. Only giving one star because it won't let me give Zero. read more

Wish I had checked here first. But I'm telling everyone of our bad experience with them now as well, and we're not done yet! We are currently doing business with Trindco for our new quartz countertops. It's not going well at this point. Too bad I paid them the first 1/2 already, because I'd just go elsewhere, even to LOWES. Which had been my first choice but thought I'd get better service and a smoother transaction from Trindco. So.....What should have been a 1 day installation has turned into a 2 day install. With the 2nd part not being still not being scheduled to be installed till 2 weeks (25th) after the first part was installed the other day (the 8th). Our installers were a little surprised when 2 pieces were missing......not big pieces either (one was the top tier to our countertops and the other was a 5 ft backsplash) and another piece that should have already been cut to fit for our 2 banisters, was loaded on the truck but it wasn't cut to fit properly. After our installers had left for the day (they were great, and very respectful by the way) and I was cleaning up I found a white spot in one of my countertop. It's smooth, but a completely different material and my countertops are NOT white at all, in any place. So I know it was an attempt to fix a hole in the slab, but it wasn't a complete fix. It should not have been loaded on that truck, delivered to my home, and installed, without a quality assurance check before any of it leaving the store. I had to call the company back to find out what date they had rescheduled the 2nd part of our install for. Because they don't call back, this has been our experience with them. We've had to call numerous times to get one call back for anything. So when I finally get someone, our sales rep, she tells me the date they've given me which is unacceptable because we are selling our home. We can't have it on the market for viewing if we've got the countertops in the condition they're in. When I had asked about getting a discount off the total price as a way to rectify this problem that we know have to deal with, she said they didn't give discounts but she'd ask her boss. I asked about fixing the countertops (the white spot that shouldn't be there).......she didn't know anything about it. I sent her the pictures (they went to her partner for viewing) of it she had requested and she NEVER called me back!!! My husband finally gets to talk to her boss today and he just keeps saying, "I'm in the business of making kitchens beautiful! I don't give discounts!" REALLY??? So, is my kitchen beautiful if it's missing some key parts to the countertops and it's got a white spot in it, when my countertops are not white?? Is it good business when you don't even try to fix the problem your company created that has your customer so unhappy? read more

I purchased my counters from Trindco through Lowes, and from that point on the experience went down hill. The process started well, with the template and drawings being completed in an expert fashion, but somewhere between my house and their shop the ball was dropped. The sink cut out was not the same shape as the sink, and the install techs failed to notice this fact. When I protested, I was told that the sections were already in place and glued down, and that the techs had other jobs to get to that evening. Mind you, they had already been in my kitchen from 10 am, til almost 6 pm fighting the stone and otherwise monkeying around. The supervisor got a call after I fought with the techs about how to proceed, and his advice was to just shift the sink forward and that would hide the fact that the shape was wrong! After deciding that I did not want the techs to proceed any further, I asked the supervisor to come out and take a look at the overall shoddy job that the company had done so far. I was told he'd be out in two days, and on the second day he asked the secretary to notify me that he was not going to be able to make it out to my house, and we would have to reschedule. After being shuffled further, he showed up and proceeded to explain why my counters were not level, why the seams were misaligned and why my wife's car was covered in granite dust from their "custom cutting" of one of the computer cut slabs. After listening to all his excuses, I agreed to let them have a second shot at cutting the sink hole, which meant ripping out the entire counter and taking it back to the shop for fine tuning. The techs that removed the counters were good, I will give them that, but when it returned with a third crew it was nearly identical to the way it left, lumpy sink shape and all! So, it went back with the third crew for another refit with the promise that it would be taken care of again. Each time I was delayed I was told that I had to be fitted into the schedule, and that the days that I was available for them to come to my home would not work. In my opinion, if a company has made a mistake, or in my case, multiple mistakes, that customer should become a higher priority than the ones that have not been forced to endure the company's mistakes yet. IE: If you have a problem, fix that first before moving on to new cutomers! Either way, their customer service has been more than lousy, less than satisfactory, and down right shameful considering the amount of money spent with their company and the amount of stress encountered dealing with them. Steer clear, and if you can find someone else to do your work, do so. read more
