I was interested in what these guys did so I went in. I could see they were busy. Through the door I saw an army of people packing boxes to be delivered out to those wanting a healthier diet. So many boxes. I waited for a good couple of minutes and noticed that there was a bell. I pressed the button and it rang out. A little bit later a flustered gentleman came out and greeted me with a "yep." I asked him about the services they provided and if he could give me some more information about Trim A Weigh. He reached over the counter, picked up a pamphlet and handed it to me. "Check out our website," He finally said before disappearing out the back again. I haven't checked the website. Trim-a-weigh are a Brisbane based company that offer delivered meals on several different plans. It is best to order on the website as the office out at Everton Hills is where the meals are made. Now I have done Lit n Easy and lasted only 3 days after the taste of the dinner mainly and the shock and horror of seeing that most dinners have around 30 + grams of sugar in them. Trim-a-weigh is lower carb which I like so, they are not just filling you up with cheap bread rolls. The fact that lite n easy cannot offer gluten free (check their website) because of the thickeners they use in their meals and Trim-a -weigh can says a lot to me. Its real food and real meat - I have been on it for one week - the 1200 cals lunch & dinner only and have lost 2.5 kilos. I started on Trim-A-Weigh at the beginning of the year after growing sick of Lite & Easy's lack of customer service, poor quality food (missing items & rotten fruit & veg on a daily basis). I foudn them as they were a small local company and seemed more likely to offer decent personal service. I did one week with TAW as a trial and fell in love immediately. Unlike competitors, they allow you to CHOOSE what to order, not option A or option B, just a list and you pick what you want. If you like something, why not get 7 of them! Though there isn't a massive range of food, what they have is amazingly nice, and there is enough variety that you can mix and match according to what you feel like. We are having cold, miserable weather at the moment so I am getting alot of the hot lunches; burgers, pastas etc. Staff are amazing, Darren has contacted me several times to find out if I am enjoying the food, and even making personal recommendations on what food he enjoys (So far he has been right!). I have also stuffed up in the past and not clicked enough items and within hours Darren has contacted me to let me know and find out what else I want. The fruit & veg are always fresh, there are a great range of delicious snacks, staff are fantastic and I have not yet had a single problem with an order. They also provide you with tea & coffee (one per day you order) and are happy to provide me with tea only as I don't drink coffee. I never had Lite & Easy willing to offer changes for you!
