Good service today for a boat rental. Difficult day given the high water and busy schedule. They were very accommodating. We'll be back.

Wow. What an absolute letdown. First off, waiting until 10:00 AM to announce that the pool would be…read moreclosed "due to the storm" overnight-- which, let's be honest, was an over dramatized excuse for brief rain and a few leaves. This isn't about weather. It's about mismanagement and a complete lack of regard for guest experience. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the place is understaffed, underpaid, and overhyped. The staff seem beat down and defeated--not because they don't care, but because leadership clearly doesn't support them. No one is focused on real customer service. Promises mean nothing here. After talking with staff- I realized this isn't a one-time issue--it's a pattern. Over promise and under deliver! From delayed check in times, lack of communication on hours, dirty room, and unmet promises. Guests are left to deal with the disappointment while management shrugs it off and moves on to the next family willing to gamble their hard-earned money on what should be a fun getaway. As long as people keep booking, the quality will stay rock-bottom. If you're considering Bridges Bay for your family trip, ask yourself: Do I really want to risk wasting my money and my kids' excitement on an experience that's just not delivered? Do better, Bridges Bay. (And whomever "John Gravel" is...time to take pride in your job! And if the responsibility lies on those above you-might be time to think about a career change! You should be treated better. Owners- get John some darn support! The service is failing! )

I did not have any internet for my entire stay in Summer Lake Building (Friday to Monday). I called…read moreimmediately and a maintenance person did come over. Said he would reset the router and came back and still no internet. Said a repair person was on the way for other building & would also fix my building. Never happened. I called Saturday AM & was told that the internet company never responded to them. Friday night, I came back to my room and a VERY LOUD live band was playing nonstop horrible music. Even with all windows and patio door closed it was unbearable. I called and was told they did not know the restaurant was having live music but they should be quitting when they finished their set??? or at 10pm when restaurant closed. At 11:15pm they were still playing. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!! The toilet is very outdated-height from floor very low! Only had half roll of toilet paper and had to walk over to checkin building because house keeping was gone for day to be given one small roll of tp. Window only opened a crack and no screen on patio door. Opened door for very short time and immediately huge mosquitoes were all over room. Some of towels were thin and stained. For average of $435/night it was a total ripoff! I think the entire area is way overbuilt -can't imagine how much water is used. Minnesota has so many better options!

We discovered this at 11pm, so we made it work. At checkout,  I told front desk employee who blew it off and just said, "thanks for letting me know". Unsatisfied, I contacted trip.com with whom I made the reservation. After several weeks of going back and forth because they had no luck contacting the property owner, Misty, I was told they could only offer a refund of $36 which wasn't enough. I decided to contact this Misty myself. She returned my call and left a voicemail stating she would not be doing anything further for me. I called back and spoke with a lady who wanted to know the whole story all over again. She told me I should have said something sooner and they would have cleaned the room. I told her the room should have been clean from the beginning!! After check in, we left right away to enjoy our day at the lake and didn't get back until late. I didn't realize that we needed to inspect the room for cleanliness. I wasn't asking for a full refund, but certainly more than $36 or even a free night. They wanted to do nothing but argue and hang up the phone. Haven't heard anything since. $186 for a dirty room with sand in the beds and someone else's dirty hair pins on the uncleaned nightstand. The owner and staff are rudely dismissive and unhelpful and they're selling dirty rooms. Unacceptable! 1 Star.

This is a good place for families with a pool, free on-property use only bikes, games, fire pits…read moreand grills and a very basic breakfast. The standard rooms are small but the king sized beds were comfortable. There is a microwave, drip coffee pot and fridge and the decor is fun; however be aware of the flies, we killed 10 our first night. There is a fly swatter in every room, so this must be commonplace. They do not have any hangers in the room. We requested some and they gave us some rather tired looking bent ones, but at least they were useable. The breakfast was not good, only two choices of sugar cereal, waffles, toast, sad- looking mini muffins and donut holes, and a bowl of scoop yourself yogurt, not very sanitary. No fruit or oatmeal. The rooms have thin walls so you will hear your neighbors TV and children running around, though the 10:30 pm quiet time seems to be enforced, except for the bar hoppers who come back at 2:30am. Bring earplugs if you sleep lightly. For the $200 plus tax price I would definitely not stay here again. If you have young children or just want to crash after a party, this may be a good choice for you.
