No Honestly guys this is a local family owned and operated business and we all know I'm here for the locals . This family has been in the business for years and knows what they are doing my family has used them over the years and they have always showed up and completed the task in a timely manner. So last Saturday ( yes of course crap always happens on a weekend ) I noticed that my pipes sounded a bit like my stomach did that one time I had food poisoning so I do what I usually do when my Jeep makes sound ( turn the music up ) . J/K I called the professionals after my husband dug up the septic tank and came from the back yard with complete fear in his eyes and stated " Call Delks" I know this must be serious because my husband is a literal Mr. Fix It and he's requesting back up . I called they answered and stated someone would be out within the hour . They weren't lying either Jay showed up about 30 minutes after the phone call. He was completely professional and answered all our question made great suggestions and offered professional tips in protecting our septic tank. He was so courteous and polite he made what could have been a crappy day much easier and less stressful. He went above and beyond and definitely preformed his job in a professional manner. I was in fear honestly when I had to ask what the cost was ( I seriously expected to get the wind knocked out of me since as I stated before it was a weekend ) . However I was pleasantly surprised when he told me and I happily paid him for a job well done . They came back and checked the floaters and said the floaters were fine. I called them back again because the alarm was still coming on and off. They told me the floaters needed to be replaced and quoted me $800. My husband thought that sounded high so I asked them to stop working and called our previous septic tank company. They came out right away and we learned 2 things - 1) Straight Flush only pumped one of the 2 septic tanks and did not clean the filter when they came out to pump our septic tank and 2) the floaters did not need too be replaced. Instead we had a short in the wiring from the pump to the alarm, in our crawlspace. We had the wire repaired by an electrician and that solved the problem Had my husband not stopped the work we would have paid over $800 to fix something that was not broken and then still would have had to pay an electrician to check and fix the wires. After talking to the owner I don't think we were intentionally mislead. Instead, I believe they were just guessing at what the problem "must be" and failed to rule out a wiring issue. Plus the $800 I was originally quoted by Straight Flush to replace the floater was later determined to be way above the $350 that the other local septic tank companies would have charged to replace the floater.
