So far, I have know complaints at all, Melissa Ogden is just wonderful Dr Flint seems to be just…read morethe same, but I haven't had my surgery as of yet. But as for respect, caring, knowledge, they all seem to show nothing little to that, when being seen. I was able to get my referral quick to go over KRMC Imaging and in fact they had an opening that day, so I was able to go in and actually have my MRI done and get a disc that I dropped off to the doctors office just a couple hours later. Which made scheduling me for me up coming surgery even quicker.

**BEWARE** I called yesterday to look into seeing this…read moreorthopedic and they quickly booked an appointment for 230pm today. I was in a great mood when I arrived (30 mins early) very happy to finally see someone to deal with the constant pain I'm in. I entered and the young receptionist took my ID and insurance card and she already seemed upset (it was quite busy). She immediately canceled my appointment due to lack of referral but was also VERY ANNOYED with me. "You should know your insurance plan better!" I was told with lots of attitude. I was just kind of stunned. No, "hey I'm sorry we need a referral", just absolute vitriol for no reason at all. I explained that the insurance company had already authorized the referral but she did not seem interested and didn't ask me any questions or give me any advice. In fact, the less I understood, the angrier she seemed. "Well, what's the next step? What should I do?" "Get a referral." "But I did. I'm surprised you didn't ask for this on the phone." (She took my insurance details yesterday). "We don't have it." She just actively worked (it seemed with intent) to discharge me with no prospects of an appointment today or any day forward. No reassurance, no "I'm sorry, but once you get the referral, call us and we can help." she just seemed determined at this point to send me down the road because I had dared ask about how the referral works and how I'd best get it. She also was not willing to set an appointment for the future at all (why not?). I said "Thanks a lot." with sarcasm and left. I left with no appointment and still in a great deal of pain after negotiating time off with my employer and canceling the appointment I had with another provider (big mistake on my part). I then drove directly to my PCP here in Kingman (3 mins away) and got the referral almost immediately. I returned about 10 minutes after I had left and re-entered and a different (older, but much prettier and kinder) woman took my information and said I could be seen. At that moment, the previous (younger and much less pleasant) lady came in and with other patients waiting (I was already being helped) she interceded to stop the progress I'd made with the other receptionist. "What are you doing?" (to the other receptionist) "I'm helping this gentleman get seen, he wants to be a new patient with us." "He can't be seen. I canceled his appointment. He doesn't have a referral." "It's right here." "Well...it's not in the chart...so we don't have it." I interrupted. "It's ok, she's helping me." I said. (I was ignored). "The appointment is already canceled." At this point, with others waiting, she interrupted the receptionist who was already effectively helping me to block my progress. It was clearly personal and she made eye contact with me and smirked. "It's too late. I've already canceled this appointment. (I could've stayed to fill out the paperwork) She still offered no appointment or help. "What about my xray(s)? Do you have access to that? I want to avoid any other issues..." I was ignored (again) by the younger receptionist...who now seemed actively trying to impede me. The other (helpful and professional) person, answered, "It's no problem if your xray was done at KRMC. We will have access to them." "Great," I replied "So, there is nothing I need to do or any other document I need to provide for you?" "No, it should be fine. Can't he been seen? There's some time..." "No," interjected the younger one, "I have canceled the appointment." This was no longer about protocol...it seemed quite personal. "It's no big deal," I said, trying to be helpful "June 20th is fine." "What time?" She said (the mean one). "Oh, I guess that matters...afternoon?" "320pm" "Fine." I have no idea why I was treated that way. I was just abused the entire time. It seemed that in the end, this person who's supposed to help me turned a routine appointment setup into some kind of competition to harm me. That is NOT why I am here. She took obvious delight in pushing out my appointment particularly when she had no clear reason to do so. Especially when I'm also being told next day appointments are available. I'd arrived with plenty of time to spare and when it was obvious I'd had the referral, it clearly became a personal issue for this person and I have no idea why. Did I do something? Do I have to worry about a grudge from the receptionist? I need medical treatment! Not some kind of drama. I do my best to treat others with respect not to expect them to understand how I want things done for my convenience. Even on a busy day I treat my customers with respect and help them understand solutions to any problems or issues that get in their way. At best, this is a receptionist who forgot their place and manners. At worst it was someone who took delight in suspending my treatment for their own gratification because I dared to ask for help or show any emotion at all.
