This review is specifically about my experience with the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Family…read moreBeginnings unit. When we chose to deliver our firstborn at St. Joe's we went in for our pre-admission and tour of the facility which was conducted by Rene - one of the most hospitable and kind people we interacted with! She took the time to answer each of our questions as well as show us around the labor and delivery unit and all of its features. We were being induced, and arrived in the evening after shift change. Each nurse we interacted with throughout the entire four days we were in the hospital was nothing short of amazing! I felt cared for, taken seriously, and knew my baby boy was in good hands in the nursery. My birth plan was honored, and I was able to birth and recover the way I wanted to. I cannot express how grateful we are for the compassion and kindness and care each nurse and staff member showed us throughout our time in the hospital. To be honest, it was difficult to leave! After leaving the hospital with a variety of postpartum care items for myself and plenty of baby care items we were advised to call labor and delivery if we had any questions. That gave us so much comfort as first-time parents knowing there was someone on the other end of the line 24/7 to help us. We have also had a few lactation consultation appointments to get breastfeeding down, which have been an excellent resource as well. A few of the nurses and staff who took care of us were; Janice, Karen, Abby, Kaylee, Kaylee, Tina, Lauren, Jo-Jo, Teri, and Kayla. They took such good care of us! We are grateful for our experience at St. Joe's. Thank you nurses and staff!

While I can't say I'm in love with this place, I was recently extremely satisfied with the help I…read morereceived from the Medical Records department. Maybe since Tri State took over they are getting themselves together (much needed)! Anyway Renee and Kailin really helped me out by breaking down some things when looking through our medical records and truly went out of their way to make sure I got the answers I needed! Now if only the rest of the clinic would do the same!!! Now, for Teresa Smith's team.. You have to keep up with your own health because you can't rely on these people. There was a concerning reading on a lab and the office did not even care to try and get us in for a follow up on such an important issue, in fact it was the major issue we were even being seen for! You guys need to step up on the follow ups. You are dealing with peoples lives that are potential life and death situations!! We had to request lab results 3-4 times for one test to rule out some things and the lab didn't even use the blood to do the specific test tht was requested by the Provider.. every other flipping thing in the book was tested except the one major request!!! I had to call several weeks in a row to even get a result once the CORRECT LAB was even done..shame on you guys. However, I will say good things about Kody Harris and Dr. Chavez as they were always willing to answer extra questions and concerns and were thorough and willing to get things done efficiently. So for Renee and Kailin in the Records Dept and the providers I mentioned, you guys are the only reason this review is not a 1 STAR! So for that thanks guys!

The people who work there are fantastic, very nice & professional but billing is a hassle and the product/service itself is not worth your money. If you do go through them, pay individually not as a package & DO NOT buy a gift certificate - especially with the transition to Tri-State.

I called for a chipped tooth repair and they gave me an appointment for a full mouth exam. I called…read moreand changed it to a one tooth appointment but when I arrived the RUDE dentist said she couldn't repair it because I had to have a full month exam first. They told me it's a waste of time to repair the tooth and she was only willing to do a root canal or an extraction. I went to another dentist and they had it fixed in 20 minutes. I waited for nearly an hour in the waiting room and another hour in the chair. Dentistry there is anything but pleasant. As if they are to busy to actually do their job. Probably would have much more time if they actually did something instead of making you come in 10 times to do what takes other dentists an hour. To schedule a deep cleaning they wanted to make 4 appointments. " We only do one quarter of your mouth at a time." Seriously? They said it would take 3 months for the first appointment and they don't schedule out further than that. Ridiculous shaming about my oral health well you can see why nobody gets maintenance done here! Sad for anyone with medicaid but I guess if you need something yanked then it will do but don't expect antibiotics or pain meds prescriptions. No gas for children's procedures either. I told her I couldn't take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and she gave me the third degree about it and then said "Well I'm not giving you anything stronger until I speak with your primary!" She assumed I was narcotic seeking by the disgusting look on her face but I'm allergic to opioid and opiates as well. Judgemental assuming and lacking any compassion for their patients. My kids have Apple Health and it's definitely worth the drive to Spokane for professional dental care, front desk would be awesome if those poor gals didn't have to try to find room for thousands of unnecessary appointments and the dental techs would have soooo much more time if they weren't having to clean after every 10 minute non productive appointment. Milking the system much??? Patients who can't schedule out past 3 months would really benefit from pre-booked routine maintenance. Who set up this system?
