Nice size parking area in Coventry, RI along the Trestle Trail portion of the East Coast Greenway. The trail to your left heads toward CT and has several inclines along the way making the return trip a fun coast part of the way. BTW, the section of trail in that direction is not completed between Summit and Greene. There was a dirt path I did not explore headed that way, or Rt. 117. There are few road crossings in this direction. Head to the right and the Inclines are more gradual and lead toward Coventry library, the town of Weat Warwick and onward. There are several road crossings in this direction. Both directions have a good deal of shaded areas while in Coventry. The trail is well maintained. No bins for rubbish or dog waste at this parking location. No porta-potty. No horse trailer parking. Easy access to the trail. A bench to rest near a sign with historic village info. read more
