I came here with my sister and her 1 year old baby for some wine tasting.
The first thing I noticed was the lack of ramp at the front door so the pram had to go up the few stairs.
I'm a big red wine drinker, Shiraz and cab sav's mostly. There was only 1 wine I liked which was the most expensive of course. Can't remember the name of it but it was a reserve blend about halfway down the red list.
We also got some $12.50 Shiraz truffles as a treat. They are made by Scottiz shingidz or something like that. They were the most horrible thing I have ever eaten! They tasted nothing like Shiraz and were filled with cracked black pepper!!
At first I passed it off as it being the peppery Shiraz flavour from the wine, till I bit into a piece of peppercorn! I had checked the label prior to buying them and black pepper was NOT on the ingredient list. No one could eat them so I melted them down to make into something else. I did call the company direct to tell them how disgusting they were & that the label was incorrect but they didn't really seem to care. read more
