It's a…read moresmall business with one treatment room locked away in the health suite of the centre, but you have to get past the screaming queue of kids waiting to pay for swimming to get access to it! As obvious as it is, Jolanta, a lovely Polish woman, runs the salon. She offers waxing, massages, facials, pedicures, manicures and more. Up until recently, a 'Hollywood' wax was ONLY £12.50 (she calls it a 'more than' wax where EVERYTHING from down under is defuzzed). That price was an absolute bargain, but now it's £15 still not bad (in central London you can easily pay £STUPID so no one should begrudge it). Her massages are amazing her hands must have double the amount of muscles compared to an average person! It's so good, you can easily drop off to sleep; and the same goes for her facials. All in all it's a fabulous salon and Jolanta's very accommodating when it comes to appointments. The only negative I can think of is the salon's not open on a Sunday (she'd get a shed load of extra business if she had someone else working on a Sunday for her) but I guess giving up an hour on a Saturday is a small price to pay for great work in a relaxing setting at fair prices.

Until Bobby's opened I hadn't had many beauty treatments. I'd had a (terrible) bikini wax at The…read moreLounge (which is opposite) and had been left terrified of salons in general. I first went into Bobby's for a sunbed and was very pleasantly surprised. The salon was gleaming and fresh which was a huge change from Tan Express which had been there before - and my first impression was excellent, although it was clear that there was still work in progress, although discreet. The sunbed sessions come in lots of three minutes and although I was only waiting for about 5 minutes for the person before me to finish, I was promptly offered a drink and a biscuit. The girls were chatty and included me in their conversation, asking my opinion on future offers and nail polish colours for their OPI stand. The sunbed was clean and music was playing from the inside - it was lovely to have a little dance! Wet wipes and goggles were provided too so I could wipe off any sweat afterwards and protect my eyes while I was inside. Although I was nervous to have any treatments I booked in for a hair appointment for the following week. Since then the hairdressers have changed but I've never been disappointed and have been taken from dark reddy box-dye brown to white blonde as well as had a variety of different cuts. I visited Bobby's on my birthday to have my nails done ready for the night ahead, and being a regular customer was given a free BCB (big, curly blowdry) as a gift from the girls! The current hairdressers are great, too, using Bedhead products that make you smell divine. Since my first visit to Bobby's I have had waxing, lashes, gel nails and acrilyc nails, pedicures, massages, and spray tans. The girls offer advice on how to prolong the effects of your treatment and offer a high standard of service. This is a very friendly and buzzing environment and during the day there are mothers in there with (well behaved) children, but on weekdays I find that evenings are quieter, as they are open until 8PM. Often they are quite busy so I would call in advance and book but walk-ins are usually fit in as well! The only other thing I have to say is if you're going to have a massage... ask for Hayley. She has magic hands like no other masseuse!
