I took my toddler for her first dental visit. She is very resistant to getting her teeth brushed that I am surprised how well she did during her dental visit. The receptionists were all friendly when first coming in. My toddler was scared but we played with the toys and tablet while waiting. Our hygienist (I believe Martha) works so well with children that my toddler was able to open up to her and get her teeth cleaned no problem. There was a tv with movie playing and I was able to hold her during visit. Dr. Andrea also works very well with children that she was able to do an exam with no resistance. She was very professional in talking about care with me while my toddler was watching tv. My toddler also received a balloon at the end of her visit and was so happy she asked when she could go again! I am so happy we found this place and you can tell this dentistry prioritizes children care and making them feel safe and comfortable. read more

We recently switched our boys to Treehouse and had a great first visit! The appointment slots did fill up pretty quickly, so it was awhile before we could get our kids seen. But once we had to schedule follow ups 6 months out, it was pretty easy to get appointments. Paperwork was super easy to complete, and I was able to complete it in the office while my kids were getting x-rays done. Everyone was really friendly. The boys loved sitting in the chairs and watching a movie while they got their teeth cleaned. Hygienists were gentle and thorough and made my boys feel comfortable. We were communicating the entire time, and reviewing the x-rays and options with the dentist was pretty straightforward. We were presented with options and given time to think about it. I like how transparent they are about options and pricing, and they gave us information to help us make a decision. The boys loved getting a token to use on the little toy machines! read more

Honestly would give this dentist 10 stars if I could, absolutely amazing provider & amazing staff. We had to come in for an emergency as my toddler fell and hurt his mouth pretty bad and we were beyond panicking. They got us in same day, front staff smiling, X-rays were a breeze, dental assistant amazing and so nice, and the actual dentist- an angel! So good with kids and parents, such good bedside manner, helped calm our nerves and took the time to explain things and never rushed away. We went here for many years before the practice really took off, and over the past few years, it has been a frustrating experience. Dr Naseem is wonderful, but her practice has grown and expanded so much that getting appointments with her has been hard. Continuity of care is important for me, but we would end up seeing whoever else was available, which was fine, until it wasn't. The other dentist are not as friendly, don't show the same level of care, and are really rushed to get things done fast. The billing department is also ready to jump on any chance to charge patients extra. If my kids don't sit still for their X-rays and they need to take more, well my insurance (and most insurances) don't cover that, and they will charge you for it. Even if I have explicitly said please only take what my insurance covers), I was still billed. They use fluoride and wouldn't always ask and I would have to pay extra for that. I was pushed into getting my kids tongue tie snipped when everyone else we saw about it said don't do it. I have since left this practice and now go somewhere else. It's sad to see this place get so busy that they lost the amazing patient care culture they used to have. read more

This place made me smile. I was really worried going into our first dental appointment for baby, since baby is not comfortable with strangers, let alone strangers investigating the mouth. But from the reception to the examination, to the brushing and walking us out, everything was handled so well. The Reception is so welcoming with the decor and the various books on brushing. There was a beautiful Christmas tree that was tastefully decorated that caught my baby's attention. The examination room was nothing like what I expected. It was an open space with several chairs and tv screens on the ceiling for children to get comfortable. Although baby didn't check out the tv screen much and was more interested in the people around us, I was fascinated by how kid friendly a clinic could possibly be. The nurse was super friendly and kind and nice along with the dentist who saw my baby. Baby left happy with a balloon and a toy and for the rest of the day, kept talking about the purple balloon and blue ball. This was the first appointment where baby didn't cry at all. Dr Naseem and all the Drs and staff are just wonderful. Office is clean, friendly and comfortable. Never have to wait long for my children to be seen and are always greeted with friendly front staff. They are knowledgeable explain everything to me and my kids and make it as fun as they can. Dr Naseem has done some big dental procedures on one of my children and she was quick, professional and careful during the whole process. Janell and Dr Vicky have done treatments on my other children and they are good! Talking to my children the whole time, positive remarks and keeping it fun and engaging the whole time they were working on them. Explaining everything to me and working as diligent as they could. Liz who works in the front is so kind and responsive. She is our go-to person anytime we need to call for details, info or scheduling. But all the staff in the front are helpful. Being a mom of 4 I have experienced many offices and staffs for all different reasons and this place is top notch. I am updating my review because I had such an unpleasant experience with Dr. Annie / Dr. Sun My child had to have a cavity filled and that was talked about a few days prior by Dr. Nasem (who we LOVE). When we arrived, Dr. Sun told us that we actually needed a crown. I saw the X-rays from Dr. Nasem the week before and that was not needed and never discussed so I was adamant that a crown was not needed. She said, well, we won't really know until we go in there and looked. I felt bombarded and rushed to make a decision. Then, I said I did not want nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for my child because they have the MTHFR gene and that is one of the major things to avoid. Kids with this gene have troubles detoxing and it can be really harmful for them. The dentist kept pushing me to get it because she said it would be too dramatic for them... They are an older child who has never had any issues with getting a small cavity filled before so I said, No.... I know my child and they will not need it. Again... I felt bombarded by her push for laughing gas. Once she got in there, sure enough... no crown was needed. I feel like she was trying to get more out of the visit. AND my child did very well and was calm the entire visit. The Dr. said, OH WOW, YOU WERE RIGHT... THEY DID GREAT WITHOUT IT! Ya.... THANKS! Let the parents decide. Watch out because this place loves to push crowns for kids when they are not needed! If you go to treehouse I would recommend avoiding Dr. Annie. Go with Dr. Nasem read more

I had my first son initial appointment scheduled Saturday (weird that they're open on Saturday, for me atleast). I called prior to let them know I was going to be 8mins late, front desk said it was fine. Front desk gave me paper work which said then I had to wait until 2hrs and half since I was late. She mentioned they have back to back. She also said all this in front of another parent (loud) Worrisome. Seems they overbook and maybe have too many patients. Something to consider because your kid just might be rushed or a number to them. We finished paper work and front desk was just on her phone didn't tell us anything further. What a cute office!! Very very kid friendly. From toys, to lounge chairs, to iPads for the older kids. I also noticed a mini fridge with waters and other beverages. I would've liked a better welcome from the front office. I got there and nobody greeted us until I literally peeled over the computer and looked at her. I didn't catch her name either. As a former medical assistant I would always greet and Introduce myself, simple things go a long way. But she was extremely nice, don't get me wrong. Waited less than 10 minutes to be taken back. The dental assistant who brought us back was very friendly and gentle with my son. I had him sit in my laps and he did so well! I speak Spanish to him at home so it was nice that the assistant spoke to him in Spanish when I asked if she spoke the language. Thank you! I wasn't a big fan of the back office where they do the dental work. It's an open space. I see pros and cons to it. Pro: I used it to show my son the other older kids getting their teeth cleaned and how well they were doing. Con: it wouldn't have been good if one of the kids was having a melt down. I think that would freak out any kiddo there. But idk, maybe they have a way to calm that scenario down or they might have other rooms for that? The dentist we saw was Dr Andrea (loved her!). Although I had initially scheduled with Dr.Nasem.. not sure why the switch? I didn't mind it, but a little heads up would've been nice. I'm big on communication, so I think a phone call a day before or even same day letting me know we were going to see someone else would've been appreciated. Dr Andrea was super informative and helpful to my questions and concerns I had. Very gentle and easy going. Always so professional, I love Dr Nasem Dunlop, the office owner, as well as Dr Sun! All the dental hygienists are very friendly, Sadie was always the most personable but they're all great. The only issue I can think of is that I really wished that the staff could review past medical history prior to seeing each kid bc my son is on the spectrum and needs slight accommodations. The last cleaning we had was a bit more stressful because even though his diagnosis has been documented for a couple years and the hygienist didn't have that extra gentle approach. Aside from that, the office has been wonderful with scheduling us lots of happy visits to help acquaint my son to the office routines. We had a baby root canal scheduled for my son at the surgery center in laguna hills back last December and the process was so smooth even considering our special needs. Nasem was amazing and the preop and recovery RN was such a great communicator. We ended up just needing a little silver crown, and she sealed all his molars just in case since he has soft enamel. My daughter loves the dentist and loves to be told she has an A+ report! Not sure if we'd ever leave the practice. We've been happy and well taken care of!! read more

I guess I was way too naive to think that pediatric dentist would not lie about unnecessary treatments to kids/toddler. I strongly recommend to get a second opinion if your kid were examined by treehouse that he/she has cavities that need to be treated. The dentist (or maybe just the assistance dentist) I was told we will not see Dr Nasem until the day of treatment, I would think If the person who is responsible for such a big treatment, she should examine it herself before the treatment especially when it comes to toddler, they should be extra careful isn't it? So the assistance dentist wants to do 7 root canals on my 4 year old kid, I asked if that's the worst case and she said no, usually Dr Nasem goes with what is recommended. I was in shock and decided to go to another dentist for second opinion, It turns out she doesn't even need any root canals, my insurance didn't cover the other dentist. But I would rather pay a lot more than putting my kid in risk of doing tons of unnecessary treatments. I still can't believe how can a pediatric dentist would do such a thing to a kid. read more

Update: my son is now 7 years old. Dr. Naseem had wanted him to be put under general anesthesia at the hospital at 3 years old for root canals. After a different dentist said he did not need root canals, 4 years later, those teeth have since naturally fallen out and Dr. Naseem's drastic, expensive and potentially harmful recommendation was COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY!!! Parents please question any kind of recommendation like this. I look back at that time in horror just in disbelief my son was going to be put through that for NO REASON. read more

We recently switched dentists due to our previous dentist no longer accepting our Metlife dental insurance. These were one of the practices that came highly referred by my local neighborhood Facebook group. We are happy that we made the decision to bring our daughter here. The staff were very friendly and informative when setting up the appointment (during COVID). They were also very friendly and welcoming in person with the cutest treehouse theme setup. My daughter was thrilled that even as a 10-year-old they offered her a toy and balloon after the visit. We will continue to take her here until she ages out and has to switch to a regular dentist. Hopefully her other family dentist will be taking Metlife again by then. read more

My son went in for a frenectomy. We were referred by a family friend because their children go there. We have delta dental insurance. I contacted the insurance before we went and I was told the insurance covered 90 percent of the procedure. We went back to the front desk after the consultation, our portion was roughly 72 dollars. The front office gal was very nice and told us that there was an additional 250.00 office fee. When I asked what that charge was for she stated it was for the use of a laser. Immediately my wife and I both looked at each other confused and knew something didn't seem right but continued with the procedure because our son needed it. We really like Dr. Nasem. She was very professional and polite. Both my wife and I work in healthcare and know how hectic it can be. Today I contact delta again to inquire about the office fee and was told the office should not be billing over the contracted rate they come into agreement with delta. The delta rep stated there was nothing they could do yet because they had not received a claim but recommended I file an appeal once the claim as been received. I contacted the office today and spoke with their billing person questioning the office fee and was told the office fee is for the doctors education, specialty, and use of a laser. When I questioned how they could bill outside of the contracted rate I was told they did not bill out of the contracted rate for the procedure but delta does not cover the 250.00 office fee. Anyways, it's unfortunate they tac on fees like this when they have a contractual agreement with the insurance but still need to charge miscellaneous fees and put that on the back of their patients. We really liked the office but now we question the ethics behind their billing and will not be back . Unfortunate because we really appreciated Dr. Nasem. read more

We had a great first appointment at Treehouse Pediatric dentistry. My son loved the treehouse play area. He thought it was pretty cool with the iPads. When it was time to get X-ray taken, I had to pick him up to go. The X-ray was a little challenge for him bc he kept sliding down the chair and having to re do the X-ray. He wasn't used to doing it. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. His cleaning went well. No cavities and he got to watch Hotel Transylvania while the dental assistant cleaned his teeth. He was distracted by the movie but he was very comfortable. We met Dr Nasem Dunlop. She helped show my son how to brush and floss correctly. It's been difficult to always remind him and do it for him. He was a little distracted because of the movie so I wasn't sure he was hearing her instructions when she was teaching him how to do it. She let me take a video so we can go over it again at home. The place is very clean and modern. I appreciated that all the paperwork was online and we could complete at our own time and submit electronically before our appt. I would definitely recommend to other parents! read more
