I became suspicious about their dealings and wrote to them twice( recorded delivery) regarding my concerns, but received no reply. They eventually phoned me ( 9 months after my letters), to report that the defendants had rejected my claim and that they were not able to pursue it further. This was 2 days before the deadline for any further legal action, making it impossible for me to instruct different solicitors! Dodgy to say the least!

We initially reduced the assessment to a level that meant I could pay my mortgage again. By this time I had been in warfare with the CSA for a year. Bob suggested that if I wished to press the nuclear button, set up a limited company. My view of the CSA was seen through a red mist. Button pressed. Assessment quickly down to zero. Downside all the limited company admin and tax paperwork. Why did I take this route ? the CSA were greedy and incompetent. NB Never ever lie to the CSA. Everything I did was strictly lawful.

Our life polices have now been placed in trust and we have in place a full estate plan that protects our property against the cost of care home. No other broker we have used to date has ever provided us with such a comprehensive service. Due to no fault of leap finance our property was down valued initially however leap finance dealt with this issue promptly and efficiently. My only criticism is that fact that they use their own panel of solicitors and we would have preferred to use our own.
