I live 90 miles out of town, and I drove, in an emergency, to see my usual provider. I thought I…read morehad either a stye or a chemical burn. I was unable to see my regular provider, but I was examined by another provider at this clinic. However, because this provider historically doesn't do thorough exams, has missed diagnoses in the past, and I took the soonest appt I could, I almost paid with my eyesight! I ended up in the ER, twice in two days by something that should've been easily detected! I had a painful eye infection that required intravenous (IV) antibiotics, and I should've been sent to the ER! Instead I was sent home w oral antibiotics that DO NOTHING for eye infections! The ER doc at Benefis, stating it was either orbital cellulitis or severe periorbital (preseptal) cellulitis, and also stated it should've been diagnosed by any capable optometrist! More recently I've asked for a replacement of a trial pair of contacts ( yes, dumb I went back!) and was put through 6 different phone calls, getting the run around, stating the office manager has to decide since my doc was out. Seems like a simple fix right? I had inadvertently left my trials at family's house in Calgary. This establishment literally told me they do give 2nd sets of trials, but they won't for everyone! They make accommodations for people, just not people of color or ethnicities. Front desk are all rude and not helpful. Disgusted with this place!

They were able to fit me in and spoke to Dr. Abraham for advice on what to do until I came in to see him which was such a relief to me. Dr. Abraham was genuinely concerned and knowledgeable about my condition. I am fortunate to have been recommended to Boes Eye Care and that I am in the care of Dr. Abraham.

Now I could have lived with that if this didn't happen: I went in complaining about red eyes and this man recommends restasis. Yes restasis! Which is for chronic dry eye and nothing to do with actual redness. Which if I used for one month my eyes would now need for the rest of my life... It's a last resort not your first recommendation ever. So here's a tip dr reeves find out about product before pushing it on someone and buy longer pants. It's tacky to be a Dr in high waters.

We came to the office and had our exams. When checking out they said they DO NOT accept my partner's insurance. There was no manager around and the lady at the desk kept asking who I spoke to. The appointment was made more than a month earlier so how was I to remember that? I called the office manager later, who was extremely rude and denied that I had been told they accept the insurance, because they wouldn't do that. The lady, b-word, was basically accusing me of lying. She would not let me speak to the Doctor whom I assume owns the clinic. We paid the bill. I had had Lasik surgery, $2000, with Dr. Ozog only a couple years previous. This didn't count for squat in their mind. The Lasik was a failure and they offered half off to try again. I am NEVER stepping foot in their office again.
