I had the most delightful spaghetti dish the very first time I came here a few years ago, and when I returned this summer, I was disappointed to find that what I had remembered as the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio e Peperocini (which is available in most Italian restaurants in Europe, but so far none have anywhere close to being what I remembered from here) was not nearly as good as I had remembered.
Maybe my memory was playing tricks on me, or maybe it was actually another dish I'd had. Regardless, the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio e Peperocini was still good. The starter prosciutto and melon platter was great as well: the melon was juicy and full of flavour. Because I came with my family, I had the chance to sample some of the spaghetti bolognese (pretty good), the spaghetti with seafood (amazingly delicious - the seafood was done well, and added a saltiness to the pasta), and the lamb steak (lamb's not my thing but my brother liked his dish).
The meringue cake for dessert was very nice: light and fluffy. We shared some of the house wine (red) and sat in the garden to enjoy the sun. Service was great - they were busy but friendly, and when they ran out of regular coke, they gave us Coke Zero. Surprisingly, when the regular coke arrived, they gave it to us - on the house (even though we hadn't asked for a second order of coke).
All in all, a great place to spend a lazy afternoon. read more
