I usually get on it there, and then walk it all the way over to Armature Works and back. There are always a ton of people either running, walking, roller skating, or hanging out along the riverwalk. I like walking it on both sides and taking in the nature, and getting great pictures. It's probably best to come right at sunset so it isn't so blazing hot. There isn't a ton of shade. My favorite photo spot is walking up one of the bridges and then looking back at the circular Rivergate Tower and the river.

There were hundreds of people along the riverwalk watching the spectacular experience. There were boats decked out with Christmas decor, and music playing to ensure the crowd is entertained! So coming here was totally random as none of us knew this existed it was just tucked away from the rest of the state fair and what a cool treat this was to an already awesome day! So this area is basically a bunch of colonial style buildings with lots of people playing those parts as it has everything a town would have back then and then some! We explored all the different buildings some with individuals crafting items like candles and rugs the old school way which was super cool to see as that isn't always the case anymore but with that said you really can't go wrong as that's when things were quality built to last! Pretty much everything here was a history lesson and a much needed one as it had been a while since I've been in an atmosphere like this making for a super fun time! Overall this is a super cool addition to the fair and a must do on your visit as we spent a good deal of time here and could have spent more time had we discovered this sooner, so definitely don't overlook this super cool area of history as it's a lot of fun!

The scenery alone was worth it, but what really made the experience special was Captain Sage. Her knowledge of the lakes, the area, and the wildlife was incredible, and the way she shared it made everything feel relaxed and engaging, not scripted or rushed. But, it would have been really sad for us to have had to miss the boat tour on Lake Titicaca to go back to Juliaca to pick up suitcases (that was also my birthday, so it was a really good present to finally getting the suitcases that night:-) We will highly recommend you to anyone who wants to go and visit Peru. I was impressed by how much we were able to see just by getting around on a golf cart. The description is a bit different than reality. She uses a headset connected to speakers on the golf cart. No headphones or earbuds. Bring your own water but you can buy drinks & food during the stops. I do recommend wearing sunglasses if you don't wear eyeglasses to protect your eyes from the wind. The cart can go up to 30 mph.

She had patience with me as I was nervous about to grab her baby alligator in my hands she reassured me and made me feel comfortable. Had some great conversations about her & her grandkids made me feel right at home miles away from home that is lol. She informed us Bubba world's biggest alligator they had was right before our very eyes about to eat a whole chicken since he just came out of hibernation!! Airboat ride was cool, fast, fun & learned a couple things out on the water!! Got my 1st photo holding onto a baby alligator!! Ty again angel & your husband and boat/tour guide for a memorable learning experience never to be forgotten!!
