Carpet is crusty, curtains falling down, paint chipping off ceiling, tub drain was dismantled. Bed was so tall, it took a flying leap to get on it. (Comfortable, but too high) The comp breakfast was fine, free newspaper, coffee in lobby. RYAN's Hangar Restaurant was convenient and pretty good. Chislic and steak fries were way too overseasoned with salt. Loaf of bread divine, Walleye delicious. Hotel needs an update!

We had Bridal Suite 301, and there was an extremely strong and unpleasant odor throughout the room. To me, it smelled similar to rotten eggs or cat urine, and several members of our group found it difficult to remain in the room. We also noticed an unpleasant odor while using the shower and from the water. After we reported the issue, a fan was placed near an area with a visible water spot, and the carpets were cleaned. In our experience, the odor seemed to become stronger as the day continued. I cannot say what caused it, but it was severe enough that the children could not stay in the room. Items that were kept there absorbed the odor and are now sitting outside in our garage. We are contacting a professional cleaning service to see whether those belongings can be saved. Some of our guests also reported concerning dark discoloration in their bathrooms. We experienced additional security concerns involving room keys being issued and individuals entering a room unexpectedly. We have documentation of our concerns and communicated them directly to hotel management. We spent thousands of dollars on lodging connected to this wedding weekend. Although we attempted to reach a reasonable resolution with the hotel, we were unable to do so. I am willing to pay for the one night that was actually spent in Room 201, but I do not believe the condition of Suite 301 was acceptable. To be clear, this post concerns only the hotel lodging. It does not reflect negatively on the event center that handled the reception and catering or on Ryan's Hangar. Their food, service, and facilities were excellent. My husband and I are planning a vow renewal in 2028 with approximately 300 guests. Based on our experience and how our concerns were handled, we will be choosing another venue and different lodging accommodations. This is an honest description of what our family and guests personally experienced.

In morning none of lamps turn on. Flipped the gfci button in bathroom outlet and still nothing. Go tell desk manager and desk clerk. They says maintenance will be here at 11 am.... After checkout So not a value at all for price paid. I don't recommend this motel. So much broken. No one on call to fix broken items. Not a very safe room if door handles and locks broken. Should have asked for a refund.

He looked in the room, found nothing, then said no smoking. The next day, after smoking outside, he again accused her of smoking inside. Then she asked for an extra key for her daughter, and was asked about the other guy (me) who didn't even stay there and said there can't be more than 2 people staying in room.
