This is the first time I've had pizza in Toulouse, but I've eaten pizza all over the US, and…read moreabroad, and this is up there in terms of great pizza. You would think you almost were transported to Italy with this pizza, it's super fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced. The portions are huge, and we got the entire slab of pizza for 2 people, with 3 different flavors, and it was too much pizza. Next time, I'd probably go with a half slab for 2 people, unless you want leftovers to take home. You can order an entire pizza (€20) half a pizza (€10), or get it to by the weight to go (€28/kg). We opted for 3 flavors: truffle cream with mushrooms, rugby (with a few different kinds of meat), and a bresola and arugula pizza. My favorite one was the truffle cream and the rugby one. The bresola meat was not as thinly sliced as I would have liked, but it was still tasty with the arugula. The rugby and the bresola flavors had tomato sauce, and the truffle cream one did not. The crust was nice - not too thin; not too thick and was crisp on the bottom and the outer crust was chewy and soft. They have seats downstairs too, so don't be discouraged when you walk in and only see 4 small tables on the top floor. Lots of variety here for pizza, good selection of Italian wines by the glass or bottle, and overall a great experience. Don't come with a group bigger than 4, since the tables are fairly small and it will be hard to find enough space. I'd definitely come back here and recommend it if you're looking for a good pizza an are hungry!

Good Italian food, very large portions, and outdoor seating so that you can eat outside. The…read moreservice was a little bit on the slow side, and you'll have to go inside to pay your bill (like a lot of places). We got the cheaper of prix fixe menus, which included an appetizer, entree, and dessert. My boyfriend and I each got different things so that we could share and try more dishes. I thought the entrees were the best, and the desserts I could have passed on (I prefer chocolate desserts, and these ones were on the sweeter side) Appetizers: - Eggplant Parmesan - This was great, with slices of eggplant and stacked with tomato sauce and cheese. I wouldn't say that it was the best eggplant parmesan I've had in my life, but I enjoyed this a lot. - Mozzarella & Tomato Salad - This dish was quite large, and the mozzarella was fresh, and was great with the tomato & basil. Entrees: - Shells filled with spinach and ricotta - I liked this a lot - it was really filling, and the dish was quite large. I would recommend this! - Meat Lasagna - This was really delicious as well, and I almost liked this more than the shells with spinach & ricotta. I'm glad my boyfriend ordered this particular dish so that I could eat half of it. It had bechamel mixed into it too, the slice was huge, and arrived super hot. I'd definitely get this again! Dessert: - Lemon Mousse - This was a bit sweet for my taste. I did like that it was layered with crumbles of speculoos cookies but I ate about half of this and didn't finish it (I normally eat all my desserts!) - Sorbets - This was a orange and lemon sorbet, with maraschino cherries. I didn't care for the syrup or the cherries as I found it too sweet, but my boyfriend liked this. I'd come here again if I was in the area, but not sure I'd make a special trip to come here. If you come, get the lasagna and/or shells!

Probably one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the past couple of years…read more We stumbled onto this place when my parents came to visit. The restaurant was quite conveniently located across the street from my parents' hotel, and during one rather hectic day, we ended up here as a result. I felt a little bad, taking my parents to an Italian restaurant while they were visiting us in France, but the menu looked amazing, and they had vegetarian entrees, which aren't always easy to find, even in Toulouse. First off, the decor is really nice, modern, AND comfortable, which to me is always a feat. Secondly, our server was probably one of the nicest servers I've ever met. Super helpful, honest with us when we asked about a possible wine, and when she realized my parents were struggling as we were doing on the spot translations of the menu for them, she went and got them English menus. Score! Both my husband and I got their 24 euro menu, which included an absolutely amazing eggplant dish everyone went nuts for, these giant ravioli with a delicious ricotta spinach filling (and oh god, you could taste the pasta was homemade, it was the best), we both different desserts, both of which were super delicious. During the meal, we inquired curiously what the two big jugs at the bar were, and they infuse their own alcohol, and the server actually brought us 4 little shots of it. I feel like I don't even really have the words to describe how great this place was. In the end, it was very high quality food, impeccable service, and a really great atmosphere. I can't wait to go back.

This was a great restaurant. I was there in March 2018. I forgot to do a review at the time…read more It doesn't look like much from the outside. And good luck finding a spot to park. But the food was great and the service was wonderful. We ordered 3 pizzas and lasagna. Everything was served piping hot. My boys devoured their pizza. I think they even finished off my wife's pizza. Thin crust pizza. Lots of cheese. Hot out of the oven. Great server who was very helpful since only I speak French in the family. It's not haute cuisine but it is where you go when you want to eat well, enjoy good food and conversation and not spent too much money.

It has chorizo(which was spicy and kinda of like pepperoni slices), bell peppers, mushrooms, cheese, and tomato sauce. Their crust is on the thicker side, but it was delicious and soft. I enjoyed every bite and the small size was a good portion for me even though I didn't finish it and got a box to take home. The pizzas also came out quickly! But we went around dinner 22:30 so it wasn't packed or anything! Service was quick and fast even though it was hard to understand French since they did not speak that much English. They were nice enough to give us an English menu! Their wine is also great, we shared a bottle of red wine for €7.

I thought this place was just okay - I came for their lunch special which is 8€ for half a pizza, a…read moredrink, and a small salad. Your choices of pizza are a bit limited and you can only choose from 5 or 6 flavors/combinations. I got the pizza that had vegetables without realizing that this particular vegan pizza didn't have any cheese. The pizza I got had tomato sauce, mushrooms, artichokes and red bell peppers but I didn't find this amazing - it was definitely missing cheese. It was a decent size for the half, but I didn't think the crust was quite as good as some of the other pizza places in Toulouse. The crust was a bit thin and soggy with all the vegetables. The salad was really small and didn't have anything except lettuce leaves and dressing. I would have preferred to just pay more for a bigger pizza and make my own salad at home. Overall, just okay - maybe I should have gotten a different flavor pizza but this is not somewhere I'd come over and over. This is probably more of a takeaway place or to get pizza delivered from - the restaurant is pretty small and doesn't have a ton of tables. This wouldn't be my first choice of pizzas in Toulouse.

(Very sorry to the proprietor for my delay in writing this!) I like the place for its casualness and he definitely has the crust dialed in. The place is VERY small: maybe 3 barstools and 3 tables (and, remember, French service is slow compared to American standards...people like to linger). He seems to do a robust takeout business to compensate. Just be prepared to either have to wait or get it to go and eat at a nice park, plaza, church, apartment/hotel room, etc. Pizzas are quite good. As mentioned, the foundation (crust) is beyond reproach: nice crispy-burnt edges and good chew inside. From there, he offers a sufficient variety of toppings though there's something just a little off with the tomato sauce and cheese. It's tasty, for sure, but lacked a certain depth of flavor and sharpness (acid?) in the cheese. Definitely needed some Sriracha hot sauce or crushed red pepper (which he provides). The menu is limited beyond pizzas. The arugula salad (get with extra cheese) is hearty and good. The house wines are just average. The beers are, well, Euro. (don't recall seeing a draft). The proprietor is super nice...speaks some English and has visited the States. This is definitely a good local business to get behind. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for its quaintness and solid pizza. And Toulouse itself is a nifty little city; I love the streets, cafe and restaurant culture, and ease of the city center here very much. It's very casual and laid back and unpretentious. Just nice and classy- European and the people are nice enough. Maybe not enough to do for tourists beyond a day or two but still worth checking out if passing through on your France itinerary.
