New charges are added regularly with a 30-day notice, so whatever monthly amount you're quoted at signing, expect to pay more over time. Double utility billing. For at least six months I was charged twice for electric, with overlapping billing periods on the same statement. The explanation was that they were "back billing" for months they hadn't been charged, which I've never encountered anywhere else. Hidden parking costs. On top of the quoted parking fee, my portal shows separate "Garage and Parking Fees" and "Parking Sales Tax" charges. No response to emails. Issues rarely get resolved by email, so you'll end up going to the leasing office in person. Tip: tell them you're coming, and suddenly they reply. When they did respond about my mailbox lock (which was changed without notifying me), the email still had the AI prompt text pasted at the top. Dirty common areas. Trash sits in the hallways and stairwells for weeks. Starting in late April, garbage in stairwell 10, including a used condom, was left for about a month. I finally emailed the leasing office about it on May 23, with photos. If you still move in: avoid units facing City Avenue. The traffic noise makes it very hard to sleep.

After cleaning the entire apartment for two days straight, they still had the nerve to charge a $150 "cleaning fee". I would avoid properties that are managed or owned by the Haghkar group all together. The realtor who showed the place to us (I think his name was Thoma?) was great, so maybe it's just a problem with a few people, either way, avoid them if I was you.
