I adopted my cats from the Winnipeg Humane Society shortly after moving to Winnipeg, but wasn't…read moresure where to take them for veterinary care because I was new to the city and didn't have many people to get referrals from. I live down near U of M so I went around to a few vet hospitals in the area to check prices and services and found that Centennial offered the most comprehensive pet care in the area and did it all with reasonable pricing. At our first appointment we met Dr Paetkau and loved her immediately. She's made us feel most welcome and appreciated as new clients. She took a nice amount of time to examine my cats and worked so patiently with their idiosyncrasies! She is clearly very knowledgable and willing to share her knowledge by thoroughly explaining various treatment options in a way that is easy to understand. We have since become regular clients of Dr. Paetkau's and always look forward to seeing her (well, maybe me more than the kitties). Our visits always feel very personalized. The hospital is very clean and spacious, the hours are extensive, and the hospital runs in a timely and efficient manner (we never end up waiting in the waiting room). The office staff and vet techs are also very attentive, courteous, and helpful. I also appreciate the variety of services offered at the hospital. Beyond typical veterinary services, they offer laser surgery, boarding, grooming, day care, and free nutrition/weight management services. One of my cats is overweight and the nutritionist has been very helpful with advising us on appropriate interventions to prevent further weight gain. I have also boarded my cats here during the day while having work done on my house and was happy with the boarding service. Centennial is the BEST and I highly recumbent them!

On our worst day of our lives, when we had to make the hardest decision a dog owner ever has to…read moremake, Bridgewater Vet Animal Hospital was so caring and kind. The Dr and assistants were amazing and when we ultimately decided that the most caring and loving choice was to say goodbye to our nearly 12 year old German Shepherd, the vet and staff were with us every step of the way. They allowed us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and stay with our precious boy. When we decided the time had come for our Diesel to cross over the Rainbow Bridge, the amazing vet got down on her knees in the lovely and comforting room with us. The room had leather couches, a lovely rug, and boxes of Kleenex and water for all of us. There was a buzzer to press when we were ready for the emoyees to come in and walk us through the steps that would happen next. Our kind and oh so compassionate vet held one of our boy's paws as we held others and his head. She was crying along with all of us and we were allowed as much time as we needed after he was gone. Our pup was originally our son's dog and we got "custody" of him when our son moved out. Our son had to leave work and drive from an hour away and this was no problem for the hospital. We were there almost for 7 hours and we could stay as long as we wanted. Our family highly recommends the animal hospital and if we ever have an animal emergency again, there is nowhere else we would go. They are located 2 hours away from us but we would drive 10x this distance for this amazing vet service.

Brought my poodle in because he was sick. Dr did not diagnose a condition which the second vet I…read moresaw said was extremely common in poodles. By the second visit it was too late and he had to be euthanized. I am devastated! I also have almost a 2k bill that in my grief I did not notice that they had charged me for procedures they did not do. I do not recommend this practice. I am so sorry I ever went there. I am crying every day because of their negligence. I miss my dog more than words can say.
