After visiting Russia, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland on the Princess Cruise ship, the Port of Rostock was our last stop in Germany. Upon arrival, sunset was absolutely beautiful. There were many restaurants and shops near by. My favorite was a candy shop (I have no idea how to pronounce it or spell it), but i do know that the local candies were sweet and good. The shops and homes in the area were beautiful with Old World charm. We only stayed one day here, but i did enjoy walking the port area and the local people seemed nice and welcoming. read more
