The massage made me feel so much better. They have very reasonable prices ($55 for 45 min), and they used hot stones and a warm towel both times, no extra charges. Most places I've looked at charge extra for that, so that was a very nice surprise. It's not exactly a spa environment, but it's a stellar massage. Highly recommend!

Several students finish the program and never go on to pass boards because they weren't taught the necessary information. Several students, myself included, have to end up teaching themselves the information in order to pass, because some teachers fall short. Don't get me wrong I made some great memories and made amazing friends while there but I certainly wish I would have got the education I paid for. They care more about the business than the school side of the establishment. On that note, if you are a prospective client remember that you are walking into a school. The students are the stylists/esthetician/massage therapist. They are learning. Be patient. Mistakes are bound to happen during the learning process but they will do what they can to fix the problem. All in all I wouldn't recommend going here for an education in the beauty industry, but as a business I probably would definitely recommend it as long as you aren't in a hurry and are patient. My masseuse was great, Darryl (hope I spelled right) is AMAZING! Gazillion thumbs up. However they could check their tables more often. Mine the face rest fell of mid section little scare there but all good. My husband didn't like his experience at all. His masseuse was a student still but apparently the management was not being respectful to her and she kind vented a little. Which is fine but her tension didn't allow her to focus on the job and my husband was even more tense when he left. He told me he's never going back not even to try a massage w the awesome Darryl.

First let me say that I've had over 100 massages with over 30 different practitioners over the past 20 years (in California mostly, but in various other states as well) and request deep tissue work every time. I've only had 3 masseuses in Ames so far, but Cassandra was clearly outstanding (I gave my two other masseuses here 2/5 stars). Not only was she experienced and skilled, she actively applied her knowledge to great effect during the massage - paying attention, investigating, and reacting. Cassandra used superior hand/finger techniques and I don't remember her ever using her elbows (which is a shortcut most masseuses resort to, but which is avoided by the "top 2%" of masseuses). If you are in Ames definitely look her up! I saw her in August of 2015; she was working at Family Chiropractic and Wellness at 2629 University Blvd, although she had just moved there recently.
