They created a beautiful tasting for us that was so sweet and personalized, and the food was DELICIOUS. Once wedding day came around, their team killed it! They worked so hard, & the food was amazing. Guests were coming up to me all night asking where J Catering was located and what their name was, because they loved their food so much! And all of our guests fought over the leftovers we were given the next day lol. Johnna and her team are so sweet & professional we would recommend them to anyone! We only wish we lived closer to them so we could keep eating their amazing food! If you haven't booked them yet I would RUN to reserve your spot, their food is AMAZING & looks stunning!

The cutest spiritual gift shop in Garberville, California…read more Despite doing this road trip multiple times, I've never stopped in Garberville before. I was surprised to see they have a decent downtown strip filled with cute local stories and even a pastry shop. One of my favorite stores on this street was Blue Moon Gift Shop. As someone with grandma hobbies, I was in absolute awe at their bead collection. Anyone who enjoys making jewelry needs to visit stat. They have isles and isles filled with beads of every color and size. The rest of the shop is filled with unique crystals, spiritual goodies, art, and stationary. I purchased a small pearl ring made by a local jeweler that is now a favorite in my collection. This spot is worth stopping for! Especially if you enjoy art and locally made items.

Very very very friendly staff and Luna the cat was a bonus to have socializing with us during our almost hour long visit. Made me happy to see a Black Lives Matter sign posted on the wall as well.

The Community Center reminded me of "The Dome School" I used to go to for Halloween and New Years Eve dances with bunches of hippies in Takilma, back in the day. And this was, indeed, peopled by old hippies...not a high heel or tie in sight. Everyone looked like they were probably growing their own medicine, and probably growing it for their grown kids, too. But it was a beautiful building -- it's apparently a work in progress, and undoubtedly by volunteers. Groovy volunteers. Of course! We got to go see the San Francisco Mime Troupe there this past weekend, and I didn't get any photos of the inside, but it's sort of an open-lofted two-plus odd-angled affair, with a patio-in-progress. We didn't have the dinner, but it looked like some excellent vegetarian lasagna with a killer salad...... beer & wine were also available. Smoke 'em if you got 'em! Oh, my. It was like looking at Woodstock participants....40 years later.... Mellow, fun, non-threatening, colorful....
