For private lessons, we expected a more thoughtful instructor match--especially given our son's high energy level. A stricter, more experienced teacher would have been far more appropriate, but that never happened. There were no clear goals, milestones, or timeline communicated for when progress should be expected or when he might advance to the next level. It felt less like skill-building and more like unstructured "play time." If the intention is simply fun and entertainment, that's something we could achieve by visiting a resort or renting a private pool elsewhere. This program may work for families with an unlimited budget who aren't concerned about measurable progress, but for us, the lack of accountability and clear expectations made it hard to justify continuing.

It's a commitment for sure but worth it for peace of mind should your kid find themselves in a dangerous water situation. Michelle is gentle with the children and puts them at ease immediately. Michelle gains their trust and helps them work on believing in themselves and their abilities. She works with each unique kid and I feel lucky to have caught the end of lessons with other kids ranging from baby age (amazing watching them orientate themselves and float solo) as well as older kids. Worth every dime when I see my 6 and 3 year olds able to jump in the water, swim and float by themselves, get themselves to the side of the pool when necessary and out for safety.

Marie contacted us to schedule the lessons, and asked us questions about our daughter ahead of time, and really listened. Our daughter has cerebral palsy and Marie was very thoughtful and creative in creating a program for her to help her increase skill and enjoy the water. She was fantastic at problem solving and looking for small signs that things were working or not working. Marie was also extremely flexible, looking for swim times that did not conflict with therapy appointments. We met at the pool, one day and just were walking in when a big clap of thunder ruined our plans. I thought we would just have one less lesson, but she was so nice, and did a make-up session! You can tell her priority it helping your child achieve their goals! Our daughter made big progress on our swimming / water goals in just 6 lessons. She is kicking much more consistently, grabbing the wall and holding on MUCH better, and even back floating and kicking with support (which is BIG). Our daughter loved going to the lessons and worked hard on learning new things. She really enjoyed the songs that Marie made up just for her as well. Fantastic experience!

Unfortunately due to an unforeseen emergency surgery that my son needed to have he couldn't make it. As per the doctors note, it specifically states no swimming for 1 week. Days prior I reached out to Cathy and this was her message: "We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we cannot make any changes as stated on website and ticket, but you are welcome to try and find someone to purchase your tickets from you.  Thank you for understanding" First off, my situation was an emergency. She doesn't even empathize. Doesn't give any details except tell me to find someone to buy my ticket, honestly I was dumbfounded. I kept pleading with Cathy because $400 isn't pennies. If I pay for something I except to get what I paid for. Truly didn't expect this though! I eventually got on the phone with her and literally argued with her. Mind you I didn't even request a refund, I simply asked if my son can just get signed up for another available week that she had open. She simply stated "if your son takes another week I lose someone else paying $400". And then she had the nerve to say "fine I'll eat up $200 but you pay the other $200." Are you kidding me?? So that would have brought me up to $600. Insane! After considering the discussion that I had with her I am truly dissatisfied and disappointed by the way she manages and does business. I have paid for a service that she refuses to reschedule at no additional cost or refund me due to an unforeseen emergency surgery that my son had to have. She has truly demonstrated that her sole focus is to make money and not uphold good and ethical customer service and business practices. The two options she proposed simply do not make sense. I see no reason for her to charge me an additional $200 to change the week as I have stated it was an unforeseen emergency as to why my child could not swim on the week we had previously scheduled. The second option she proposed also does not work as I would not recommend her business to anyone else on the grounds of the way she has handled this situation. Therefore, finding someone to sell my ticket to is not an option. Additionally, the fact that she expects a customer to find another customer in order to get any money back is ridiculous. I would have hoped that because my child had an emergency, she would have been initially flexible enough to provide me with another week at no additional charge or refund me for a service that she has not rendered. I requested and asked her if I can get a refund of $400 back and of course no response! People, please know that you can't even file a claim through your bank or Venmo?! She knows exactly what she's doing and that's ripping families off by this no refund BS! I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews...
