A one of a kind miniature train experience. What a fun place to be at. Sorry for ending the last sentence with a preposition if you caught that. The volunteers here were all very pleasant and loved what they are doing. No fee for coming here but I left a $20 donation because I felt that it was worth at least that. So donate appropriately for the continued success of this wonderful place for all future generations to enjoy. Do not miss the miniature train ride, a not to be missed experience.

Very cute set up especially if you are into trains and miniature trains and tracks . Take the little train tour and enjoy the explanation. Then check out the old models on display throughout the location . Nice detour on way to Portland .

Amazing time with the kids and adults!! You should go don't even think about it just go

Looking back towards the main entrance after parking near the central station.

At a half hour drive from downtown Klamath Falls, train mountain is truly a hidden gem in southern Oregon! Just off of OR-62, they're always accepting to new members! If you're not a person for the half-hour train tour (which Ian did a great job at!), there is plenty of railroad equipment around the visitor center, with a self-guided tour as an option. Regarding safety, I noted no concerns, just make sure to remain seated for the duration of the ride! The best part about this experience? It's 100% free, although they do appreciate donations to maintain the world record holding railroad.

We found this awesome place on our drive to Crater Lake. We extended our stay in the area an extra day just so we could visit. Oh my gosh! It was fantastic. I would pay an annual membership or at least volunteer just to be able to camp out there for a while in the RV. We don't own any hobby railroad stuff, but we sure would enjoy several weeks worth of watching it all sometime!

Miniature town along the train ride

Great train rides for the kids, play ground and a self guided tour. The train ride was about 30 minutes of miniature towns, trains and railways. You can go into the retired cars but be careful with small children as it had bird feces and wasp hives. Great place to picnic, play and spend the day with the kids.

Located just north of Klamath Falls off of 97, this 20,000 acre free park features 37 miles of miniature scale train tracks all built & run by volunteers, perfect for killing an hour or two with the kids or family. The way it works is train hobbyist from all over bring their engines to this Disneyland of small things to couple up their cars and take folks for a ride...but there's no set schedule and no guarantee you can snag a ride, just totally depends on the hobbyists on site that day. Theres also multiple actual size trains cars & cabooses to walk around and into in some cases plus tons of railroad artifacts.

This place is above and beyond amazing. A train enthusiasts Mecca. They have like 35 + miles of dedicated track that apparently spans over 2200 acres. They have their own signal system, yards, roundhouse, Maintenence tracks. Bridges, overpasses, tunnels and more. Words can't describe how amazing this place is. Rides are free to the public but donations are encouraged. So please give!!! It's well worth any amount you could give for such an amazing place for the community.

Drug Wars - Answering the Call Hello,…read more My name is Tom Monson. I've been a resident of Medford Oregon for almost 40 years. I moved here from LA in the 70's. It was a very different place then. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer. During my week of radiation treatment I was blind and all I could do was lay on my back and reflect on my life. I thought about the things I've done, the things I wanted to, and all the marvelous blessings I have been given. I was at peace because I've had a rich and full life. During my recuperation, I discovered a tragedy unfolding. In a talk, Jackson County Medical Examiner, Dr. Jim Shames sounded an alarm about the dangers of prescription drugs. I decided to look into it. I discovered some horrifying facts. Last year, tens of thousands of teenagers died and hundreds of thousand became drug addicts (many of them turning to crime and/or prostitution to support their new habit). The deaths cross all economic and social stratus -- rich and poor, secular and non-secular. Why? The drug companies are pushing these drugs as cure-alls and some doctors freely write prescriptions. Most parents don't have a clue about the dangers of these drugs. The warnings have been lost in the news of political turmoil, the war on terror and our terrible economic times. You would think something this important would take top billing all the time. I knew I had to do something about this because according to the Centers for Disease Control, one in five teens use prescription drugs for non-medical purposes and many will either die or become addicted. I knew I could make a difference. Several years ago I produced a 1/2 hour documentary about a young heroin addict. For over a year, it was broadcast all over the state of Oregon. Several drug-treatment centers told me their intake calls for heroin addiction doubled the day after the broadcast. The state medical examiner reported two years later the number of heroin-related deaths declined by over 50%. The film worked. I just finished a documentary about the dangers of prescription drugs. The film will be broadcast on NBC-5 in December, 2012. It will be promoted on television, radio, Internet, and in print. In the Drug Wars, the real enemies are ignorance and apathy. If you know and do nothing, you are part of the problem. If we all do something we can save our children. The expenses for this endeavor are huge. If you own a businesses, you can gain positive name recognition by helping pay for the, production, air time and fees. If you just want to help me save our children, please do. To learn more about it, go to www.drugwars.com or send your contribution to Thomas Nash, llc, 33 North Central Ave, Suite 401, Medford, OR 97501, or call Tom Monson at (541) 210-6698 for sponsor information.
