Traditions - Well suited name. Nothing fancy just a solid haircut by SKILLED barbers. I imagine this is how Barber Shops used to be. No fancy waiting chairs with fashion magazines and a wall of hair products to sell you. This is a very small shop but very old school. Don't expect a 5 minute buzz and a hot towel thrown over you face. They spend the time to make sure you leave with a SHARP haircut. They do beard trimmings too that can take as long as a haircut because they really take pride in their work. Parking can be a challenge the first visit until you get the routine down. (often they can accommodate you in the same parking structure they are located. I strongly recommend you give this place a try (but not too many of you...I want to be able to get in and it not be booked up) : ) read more

My husband likes it here. Bernard is really good, very friendly, and professional. We have gone in without appointments and with and he always trys to accomodate. He also likes to make sure no razor bumps happen on his cuts which is great. Every two or three weeks, my hair grows all sideways and hit a "I look terrible" plateau. No really, I once had a homeless man walk up to me and say, "you look terrible," and then he started swearing at some innocent pigeons just chillin' on a bench. So after a long day of screaming, shouting, learning, and being on Fox 35 News for a hot minute (http://bit.ly/1V30FxA) I needed to get done up! I searched on Yelp and found Traditions not too far way from me. Anyways, things to know: I. LOCATION: Your GPS will take you to an office building, but know that Traditions is actually located in a small room between the openings of the adjacent parking ramp. So don't go inside the building. Stay on the sidewalk. II. SPACE & AMBIENCE: It's small. Like, my living room is about the same size of the joint. And I live in a studio. Near the door is a small TV. I got to watch part of Southpaw. Haha. Call and make an appointment, because only two waiting chairs there exist. III. SERVICE: They have two barbers. One of them rents out the joint, and the other dude (close to the window) serves as the other barber cut my hair. I asked for a number one shave on the sides, comb over with a line down on the left, and pomade. Not only did I get done up right, but he also put some fancy ass oils around the lining of my hair. I love fancy ass oils. He did all of this while wearing his iPhone earbuds. Haha. IV. PRICES: It's a little pricier than what I'm used to. I paid about $21, which was unexpected for a small shop like this, and left a $5 tip. I mean, I don't really care about dropping extra money for a good cut, so I ain't complaining. I would be, though, if he did a bad job. But he didn't. So it's worth it to look fresh. V. OVERALL: If I visit O-Teezy again in the future, I won't hesitate to choose Traditions again. It's my kind of place, and good cuts are hard to come by. read more

A solid barber at a good price. I have been into Traditions a few times. Each time has provided me with a great haircut. Located near the intersection of Church and Roseland, Traditions is a barber shop for men who knows how to deliver. I arrived for my last haircut around 5 the other day. The actual venue is located in a parking garage. While a bit out of the ordinary, the parking is free and the space is well-used. When you go inside, you see two chairs, a Yelp shoutout, and a tv playing a "guy" movie (Total Tecall last time). The only negative about this place is the wait. It can be pretty long. However, that's only because the two barbers really take their time to deliver a superior haircut. Each of my haircuts have been 45-60 minutes in length. They go to amazing lengths to make sure your hair looks as on-point as possible. I also like the fact that the barbers chat more with those who are waiting instead of you in the chair. I don't like talking much to my barber, so this makes for a great way to have chatter without it being distracting. This location also has a Groupon that provides a great deal on a haircut. However, the price by itself (about $20) is still fairly good, especially considering that the cut you get is at such an elite level. Overall, Traditions is a small little barber shop that prides itself on excellence and efficiency. While the smallness and long wait isn't ideal, I highly recommend stopping by when you have time if you want elite-level barber work. read more

Thanks to you yelpers i found a great barber while in a bind to get a cut. I called Rob and asked if i could get a cut he stated come down there is one person im working on right now. I waited about 20-30 minutes to get in the chair. I didnt mind the wait seeing the quality work he does for his clients. Time ***disclaimer*** if you are need a quick cut make sure you tell him ahead of time. If you are looking to be pampered and treated like a king and time isnt of the essence then get Rob and also a shave. this was easily the longest cut/shave of my life. Hell girls get massages and sh*t why cant us men feel the same? Value- i called around barber shops in downtown to get some prices. Traditions is easily the best bang for your buck HANDS DOWN. most places charge around 40 bucks and thats just a cut. Pffff no thanks! You get a $100 treatment for 1/4 of the price. Detail- with the time comes extreme detail. down to LITERALLY one hair being slightly longer on top. I haven't experienced the level of detail someone puts into their work. Appointments- get with him before he blows up. Hes relatively new on the block and this really is a hidden Gem. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to become a regular. Shave- the shave started with some shaving oil, lather, then a hot towel to open up the pores. After removing the towel the mastery begins. Straight razor combined with electric for the closest shave. Another hot towel after it is finished topped off with that F*(& yeah alcohol Burn. treat yourself there and walk out of that place like a MF'ing Boss knowing you never looked so good!!!! read more

Top notch service ! After my husband's barber relocated I was going crazy trying to find a good one, and oh my ... so many places, so many ratings BUT even though places weren't bad, I wasn't "feeling" any of the ones he tried. I would usually finish some of the "left behind" areas etc. I love attention to detail, no rushing people out ... I could care less about the fancy decor or the place, I just want someone that LOVES his job, that has a passion for it ... and I'm grateful to say that today we found what it seems to be our new barber ! Thank you so much to Steve for the excellent cut and beard trim he did to my husband ... he loves it and so do I ! We will definitely return ! This is a great place ! Gabby & Steve read more

Even though I was sent to a closed establishment and had to walk to the other location, and walked in without an appointment, the two gentlemen working there made me feel like a valued customer. I was very happy with the haircut and beard trim. If I was staying in town I would have made this place my go to for my monthly haircut. read more

These guys are great. Jonathan did an amazing job on my beard. He was very meticulous and took his time, about 45 min on a trim, shave and tint (to get rid of the greys). It looks amazing. I travel a lot for work and fun and usually get a trim everywhere I go. Just moved down the street here and definitely found my spot. Call and make an appointment if you're in a rush. It's a nice small two man shop, so I could see a walk in not working on a tight schedule. Very reasonably priced. Oh and they asked where I found them and I told them Yelp. They asked to see a coupon they had on yelp. Long story short they had no idea they had any reviews meaning all the ones you see are real non induced reviews. Oh and that one star was the day before Christmas when everyone is slammed (they saw when I was showing them their profile and knew exactly who and when without knowing about the review). Tbh I give anyone a break working on Xmas eve. Great experience. Will be a return customer for sure. If you need a trim or a cut I'd give them a shot. I was more than satisfied. read more

Very easy location that provides free covered parking in a garage. Try coming downtown and finding that. The cuts are first rate with barbers who not only know how to cut, they take pride in making sure you look better than you thought you could. $10 cuts on Tuesdays are perfect for the budget minded. If you are heading to an event downtown and want to look fresh and clean, start a new tradition and stop on in. read more

**Update** the owner responded basically saying I must have went to the barbershop in Sanford?? Haha, no sir! I live downtown Orlando and walked over to your shop near church street, which is located in a parking garage! I would NOT recommend this place! First time I tried this place since it was local, so I gave it a shot. Huge mistake! 1)I made an apt for 10:30, didn't get my haircut till 11:30. I would have been ok with this had the wait been worth a great haircut. Didn't leave till 12:30!! 2) Worst haircut I've ever gotten! The top was not blended or faded into the sides at all! The top is not in proportion to the sides, I've been told I look like I have fat hair or looks too fluffy on top (I get a faux hawk). I tried explaining what I wanted but that didn't help. Now that I think about it I mentioned I wanted a 3-5 and I'm almost positive I got a 2 on the sides which is way too short for me. The guy there tries and means well, but he's a nube. I can't believe the owner of this place would put a kid in this position nor could I imagine he would want someone carrying his name/brand! 3) Time to spend the money for another haircut! read more

100% , this shop is very clean and professional . We have one of the best experiences ever when Me and my son receive our haircuts from the shop. Recently , I started taking my son , my wife and I are always satisfied because this Traditions exceeds our expectations. I love the fact that when my wife takes my son there , she tells me that she doesn't feel uncomfortable when she goes alone with my son . That says a lot about the integrity of the shop when I'm not there . Thank you Mr Rob ! read more

Traditions Mobile Barber - They did an amazing job and have been my barbers for over a year and a half - Barbers Near Me - Davenport, Florida

Rob is the best barber I've been to - period. I've lived all over, including NYC, and he's better than them all. He even puts the barber I used to go to, who was featured on GQ and Esquire, to shame. I've got a few cowlicks and even with long hair he spotted them immediately. Every time I have to find a new barber it makes me nervous, but Rob is a pro. The place is far from flashy, but you won't be disappointed. read more

What a gem! Called and made an appointment because my regular place was all booked. Steve did an awesome job with my cut & shave. He takes pride in his job and does it with meticulous detail. The result was just the way I wanted. I will definately be coming here from now on. I've paid more than double in the past, but this is without a doubt my favorite barbershop in O-Town. read more

I live in PA and I was told about this place by my dad who recently moved to Orlando. Normally I trim my own beard and to a lesser extent my hair (I'm a hat wearer). Anyway Rob cut me up and did my beard. I gave him free reign over my over grown mop hair and asked for a slight trim on my beard. What I got was pure art in return mind you it took a little longer but it was well worth the wait. Ended up with I'm guessing a fade with a comb over I don't know what it's called but I'll be asking for it again. Rob was a cool dude who takes being a barber serious and you can tell by watching him he loves what he does and it shows or at the very least it shows in the cut an trim I got. But I can't recommend this spot enough. read more

Flew in from Hawaii for my brother's wedding last weekend. Luckily it was downtown and I was able to stop at Traditions for a shave from Rob. Hands down best place ever! You will not be disappointed whatsoever. Reminds me of the how it was done in NY when I lived there. Atmosphere was great and loved hanging out and chatting it up while getting my shave. Looked great for all the close up photos and naturally gave the shoutout to Rob for the awesome work. When I'm back in Orlando I'm always stopping in here. My brother will soon be a regular too. Great down to basic trim, John used his expert hands to sculpt my beard. See u in a week!

Great old school barber, convenient to my work and my parking garage. In and out in 15-20, very comfortable place.

Rob did an amazing job! Very friendly and meticulous. Full service haircut with hot towel shave. Very professional! Thanks again Rob!

For the price this spot can't be beat......great location and very happy with my cut.

This place is far from polished. If you are looking for a shoe shine and a rocks glass with a fine whisky waiting for you, this is not it. But that is not what I'm looking for when I want a haircut and a shave. I want 1. A capable Master Barber who knows his craft (not a hair stylist) 2. A guy's place. There are no frills here. Simply two barber chairs and guy's movies playing on the flat screen TV. 3. Easy Access. How great is this, its located attached to a parking garage and there is no parking fee. 4. A top notch shave that doesn't leave my skin irritated and bumpy. 5. A hair cut just the way I asked for it. 6. A price that is reasonable. I'm glad to say that Rob at Traditions met all of my requirements. I got a hair cut and a hot towel shave with 4 passes for $30 not including tip. I will be back. read more

Have known Rob 20+ years and he has always delivered exceptional service. Down to the smallest details, he makes sure you look good and feel like new when you step off the chair. Top shelf service at reasonable prices, you cant beat it! Rob is and has always been one of the most skilled barbers around. His scissor skills are truly what set him apart. Anyone can grab some clippers and "fade" but, it takes a true professional to cut and style your hair the way he does. Down to the hot towel shave, you'll feel like a brand new man when you leave Traditions Barbershop. read more

Great experience. He was able to fit me in between appointments but still didn't try to rush me out. Great attention to detail on haircut and shave and a very welcoming atmosphere.
