I'm traveling and forgot my flat iron. I was pleased to find a Remington flat iron that can be used on both wet and dry hair for only $20. I purchased and tried it today. Worked great! I would highly recommend this product and for the price you can't beat it! While standing in line to purchase my items, the customer in front of me had a buggy full of toys. She told me she couldn't beat the price. That's how I found out about the sale. So I brought my parents back today so we could purchase toys for my great niece and nephews. I spent $42, and bought four toys. This is the cheapest I've ever gotten away with spending for toys. And they have brand name toys you've heard of such as Fisher Price, My Little Pony Mickey Mouse, and many more! Apparel is buy one get one 50% off this week. That includes clothes, pajamas, shoes and accessories. What you see on the shelf is all they have as we asked about a male scooter and all they had left were the female pink ones. First, I had to wait on her for a solid 10 minutes in an empty store during a heat wave. I had a lot on my mind. When she finally appeared to assist the sick cashier with a menial task, I misspoke. She was already clearly rubbed the wrong way, and that just shifted her into a different level of rude. She began ignoring my transaction-related questions, rolling her eyes and sighing, put my change on the counter, and spoke down to me. Regardless of whether or not I'm inconveniencing her, even for a second longer, should ~not~ have been evident in this "leader's" behavior. I will do all I can to avoid this conveniently located Family Dollar due to this manager's behavior. I will be be spreading the word. I want her leadership to know. An additional note: I managed to purchase a candle from this person, and it didn't even have a lid. She's not being distracted from quality assurance, it would seem...

A woman was helping him and said he would need to come back in the afternoon. He did, and the woman said that they had it sorted out. Then a "manager" stepped in. I'm putting "manager" in quotes because this man definitely was not a leader or a role model in any way, and instead quite rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure of his name, but he threatened to call the police on my grandfather. He told him "not to talk to his employees like that," when he hadn't done anything wrong. The order was getting squared away. The "manager" also complained that "the whole pharmacy can hear you," as well as told my grandfather that he was in the military and he was going to kick him out of the store. He even got in his face. Nose to nose with a 90 year old customer taking care of an exchange with another employee, can you imagine? What a douche. The transaction was already being handled fine, he didn't need to step in and definitely didn't need to be a jerk. Now, my grandfather is 90 years old. My grandmother is older. Was he (my grandfather) talking loudly? He is a little hard of hearing so yeah, probably. Was he being rude or disrespectful? No. He ordered a mobility device and received a different one than he ordered. It's fair that he would want to exchange it for the correct one. I'm not sure what sad life this "manager" has that he thinks it's OK to threaten a 90 year old man, but what a jerk! Smith's is never busy anyway, so you'd think they'd want to treat their customers better. CVS is just a few blocks away and they definitely have better customer service. I'll make sure to tell everyone about this interaction and make sure none of my friends or family in the area go back to Smith's. I have worked in customer service for over a decade and it's not hard to have a little respect for your customer and treat them kindly. Hopefully this man gets reprimanded or fired, because he deserves the worst.
